Ana! I used to get the most horrific periods too and it really was something that almost used to take over when it came - and like you, I never knew when it was going to surprise me. Obviously it may not be something you're comfortable with (which is totally fine), but going on the pill for me literally changed my life. I went on it about 5 years ago now and instead of awful, heavy, irregular, long-lasting periods that I used to get (with pain), I literally don't even get proper blood anymore (yes, a bit TMI!), and I know exactly when my "bleed" is coming, which again, isn't even like enough of a flow to need to change my tampon more than once every 8 hours (and only then because of the TSS risk, not the flow). Just a thought for you, I've not had any other horrible side effects with it either as my doctor put me on a relatively low dosed pill called Loestrin. Every woman is different of course but it's totally changed my life in that aspect and maybe it's something you might want to consider if you're comfortable with that xx

I can relate to the period problems 😐 Clue is a good app to track it if you haven't got it already, mine are super irregular but the more data you enter into Clue it will predict it accurately for you. Mine range from 5-6 weeks between them now, and that's what it predicts!
