This is me and my Grandma’s song! When it came out, we would call each other singing it! I even sang and recorded it for her! She is now 92 and has Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, but, she still remembers this song!🥰🥰🥰🥰

@@ivangranger8494 Just imagine, he signed his first recording contract with Motown at age 11. One of my favourites by Stevie is Sir Duke….a tribute to Duke Ellington. We were lucky to have such great music back in the day.

@@Lakeshore14 I remember that song, well. 👍🏼 Yes, Stevie was so very gifted, and shared that gift. In the times leading back to the First great composers, the love of music and it’s pure enjoyments and the lessons of learning compassion, were profound . Sadly, that has been stolen from today’s World. I’m not sure it’s ever coming back. ☹️

Shawn & Mel, Stevie is who the GOAT's call the GOAT. I have over 30 favorites but here's 3. "Sir Duke" lyrics, & horns standout. "Superstition" just the funkiest song! Pioneering use of the Hohner Clavinet "My Cherie Amour" one of the sweetest songs you'll ever hear.

Stevie Wonder wrote this for his mother. He references all the months of the year compare that to a Neil sedaka song called calendar girl but Neil is to a girlfriend. And lastly check out Andrea Bocelli singing this for Stevie on a tribute. In fact you should check out the total tribute. Stevie Wonder Grammy Tribute 2015.

"I Just Called to Say I Love You" was a world wide hit for Stevie Wonder back in 1984. It was everywhere here in the states back then and I even remember hearing it on a radio playing in a flea market in Rome, Italy when I went there on a school trip that year. Stevie Wonder wrote the song himself. He wrote most of his hits, including "My Cherie Amour", "You Are the Sunshine of My Life", and "Isn't She Lovely" for starters.

When I was in high school in the '80s, I was working on a school project for French class. When my project partner called one evening, he started singing this song. I handed the phone to my mom and he ended up singing it to HER... then later in the year, he was in the school marching band during the town Christmas parade and as he marched by, my mom started singing it to HIM.... ahhhhhh we were both embarrassed, but now, 30+ years later, if I hit him up on FB or whatever we laugh about it. Sure do miss you mom!!!!!!!!!!

Stevie Wonder was a child prodigy who signed with Motown at the age of 11, where he was given the professional name "Little Stevie Wonder". He covered many genres of music such as R&B, pop, soul, gospel, funk & jazz. He was one of the pioneers at using synthesizers & other electronic musical instruments during the 1970s. "Superstition" was one of his first big hits but he has had so many in his career such as "Uptight (Everything's Alright)", "I Was Made To Love Her", "For Once In My Life", "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours", "My Cherie Amour", "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life", "Higher Ground", "Living For The City", "Sir Duke", "Isn't She Lovely?" etc.

Stevie does it all Mel. Lyrics music 🎶 everything. I can't believe this os the 1st time you've reacted to Stevie. He's been on the scene since the 60s, signing 1st with Motown Records. Literally TONS OF HITS. Here are just a few. "Uptight" 1966 "I was made to love her" 1967 "For once in my life" 1968 "My cherie a'more" 1969 "Yester me yester you yesterday" 1969 "Signed sealed delivered, I'm yours" 1970 "Superstition" 1972 "You are the sunshine of my life" 1973... I could keep going but we've only just reached 1973! That's enough for now.

🥰💎🎶 Have always loved Stevie’s voice & the beautiful music that he has produced! Way back in the early 70’s my roommate Carol & I decided we wanted to talk with him & tell him how much we loved his music - so we phoned him in Detroit & he actually came to the phone ☎️ at Motown,we talked for a bit telling him that we were fans calling from our small city Edmonton in Alberta, Canada - two young women who were devoted to him!! He was so nice on the phone & probably thought who are these tongue tied fans🤣 A memory we will always treasure - Stevie was so friendly and loved hearing fromfans so far away . A favourite memory 💗😻🇨🇦🎶 Thanks for reacting to this genius 🎶

Beautiful sentiment. Once upon a time, troubadours would sit by their lady loves & sing songs like this to them. Then, passionate love letters became the way to convey affection for another. The phone came along, & people began to "call to say I love you". Now, we get an emoji ❤️ on our mobile device. We keep insisting we love each other, but we seem to be getting farther apart. Is love really that scary?
