Now you start to see the strategy for both factions. Keep in mind that there is a third faction and a third tier in development. The heal and veterancy for Vanguard need to be pretty strong to deal with the infest snowball effect, but it does look like air can easily wipe out the inferno faction at the moment. They really don't have a reliable answer for that except defensive structures. The flyers are a good way to protect the dragon from a swarm of air units.....seems promising.

Third level is already almost know you can see on wiki there is a mega demon and a giant bomber also a big mech and a fast mech

Idk where people are wearing this snowball fiend affect when vanguard just need standard units to win. Healers, lancers, and exos is a solid winning comp that the maps don't even allow for swarm or the snowball affect to move. They can just stutter or kite away

I don't know the macro stratergy of this game, however the shadow flyers seemed like a really effective AA solution (assuming the cost efficiency is in line). There was just a lot of sloppy micro in that game. Watch how the shadow flyers are being picked off from ground based anti air attacks because they are frontlining with the ground forces (I assume they were on the same command group). As for the game state. I felt like when the infernal player wiped the Vanguard main army he should have put on pressure to end the game. I'm not sure if he realised his opponent was mining, but regardless he wasn't mining and his army wasn't growing stronger so I'm not sure why he didn't push to end.

@@cynicle the flyers are good AA. Micro was bad on them here. Infernals just feel like they have no damage, speed, or range,. If you have none of that u have to give tanking abilities and it looks like they're trying to do that but the maps do not allow for the tanking idea they are looking for. For infernals to have proper tanking units in good spots would take a minute or minutes where as vanguard can just move in 15 seconds and be setup, re adjusted, etc. Love the ideas they have but the execution is lacking. Praying they make strong updates

10:09 just want to point out that kiwian is targeting the Racks so that the bounce damage reaches since the lancer tower doesnt have range to hit the units up the ramp

Great video. One thing I would like to see, since the game is so new and we're all very uninformed on it, is for you to spend a little bit of time whenever you a bit of downtime to describe some of the units in play and their role/how they will be used.

Next weekend we will have the RO16 of the tournament and as far as I know artosis and tasteless will be casting atleast some games and we all know how good artosis is at explaining game/meta to the audience so its worth tuning in

I'm 1390 so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. But besides the fiends, which are pretty bad against opponents armies. Infernals are only as fast as their slowest unit and their end game composition consists of the slowest unit I need I've ever seen in a game and I've played bioshock infinite haha. So I think it is cool that infernals actually slow down as the game progresses and then the vanguard speeds up in the end game after their upgrades, kinda neat.

I swear I don't think I've seen more consistent complaining than trying to hang out in tasteless stream while he plays this. people are willing to say, YEAARS before release, 'even if they make changes the design is the WORST i've EVER SEEN'... I just can't believe these are rational people. maybe children with a sugar rush, or teenagers that have never followed a game thru development. idk but it's so annoying. of COURSE everyone won't like everything. and I'm not even saying I love this game, I'm honestly pretty nonplussed by it. but the hyperbole in the statements is just ridiculous lmao

I'm sorry but I don't agree. As someone that's been following games through their development for the last 20 years I can tell you they almost always end up changing a lot less than you think or expect they should after they have been presented as playable like this has. I've seen it time and time again. Always the hope "its still relatively early on in development they can change so many things" and then it never happens. I'm done with that. From what we are seeing and can play now I think the art design for this game is awful and is set in stone so is not going to get changed, besides maybe some lighting improvements. Different current issues I personally have with the game atm are that the Infernal have a bunch of interesting mechanics but are visualized horribly, while the Vanguard don't have enough mechanics period. These things of course can still be improved and fully expect they will. The game also needs a lot of work in the visual representation of effects and mechanics, and while I do expect those to happen to some extend I'm also convinced this game in its final release candidate state will barely look better than it does now. I would like to be wrong.

The fights were aewful. Thoery streams his army one unit at a time into Kiwi's clumped up army, then Kiwi balls his army into an army that does aoe damage. Paulinful to watch

On with the final(?) faction already! The ppls' patience is dwindling and it won't be long before teasers will be looked at as bluffs and they just ignore the game for good. On another note, if a protoss is able to 3-0 Serral or Clem in a tourney, I'm going to fully invest in stormgate vids and completely leave sc2.

Only from different sources. Gaunts are one source, global infest another, and Dragon another. Each source of infest contributes one Fiend, so you can have up to 3 fiends spawning per unit.

I really want to like this game as a spectator, but the visuals and art style is just not very pleasing to watch at the current stage. And it sometimes feels like they just took mechanics from SC2 (and a few from WC3) and shuffled them around into new compositions. With no obvious, cool, fresh "killer feature" compared to Starcraft. Unless the killer feature is that SC2 is dead :)

Try not running it on DX12, it runs better on lower end PC without DX12.

I haven't been following for very long, but it was nice to see a late game composition. My worry is that with only 2 races, mirror matches will be so regular, and there may not be the build variety that we have enjoyed in starcraft for so many years, and I think that that is one of the keys to a strat game's longevity. Maybe I've missed something and there's another race en route, but I'm hopeful for this title. Always enjoy your casting.

Meh, thid turrets in basic version do closr to nothing. Units csn just run or drop past them and kill workers.

I am very unimpressed.. I really expected too much I think? I don't even mean the poor graphics or bugs, I mean the unoriginal mechanics. Not one ability or unit inspires me. Nothing screams tactical or strategic. It just seems like warm milk game design safer than the shows my kids watch. I maybe don't get it. Such a promising team. They could do much better than a clone.

sry but in aspirant league where i am no one dies to 3 dogs ... u heared of the word "turret" ? everyone just builds one and as vanguard has below 40% winrate vs infernal and the lower the rank as higher the infernal winrate ... something u say doesnt match up

2-3 dogs will not end the game if youre paying attention and not trying to do an extremely greedy build with no defensive units...also, the game is in beta. which theyre calling beta is really closer to an alpha as we havent even seen 1/3 of the gameplay yet with 1 entire race being missing still so just chill on the balance stuff. wish everyone would chill on balance. like, imagine trying to talk balance on starcraft when you dont even know theres protoss not just zerg and terran

you just have to build defenses. vanguard starts with a dog but infernals start with an extra worker another ready to be spawned in quickly (while vanguard's workers take time to produce).
