I purchased the APL55 for my teardrop and the JP30 for the back of my jeep wrangler TJ. I saved some serious coin using your discount. Thanks! Great video and your review and all the details you provided sold me on IceCo. I was going to go with Dometic but for the price difference and the fact they both use the same compressor I was paying for the name.

Great video and review on the new line of iceco refrigerator just to help you out. I know you had a lot to explain about refrigerator but the other feature that you missed was if you keep the lid open too long, it starts to beep. Right also I don’t know if this has this feature but while you’re driving along on forest roads and it gets unplugged, it would be nice if it actually text you on your phone saying it was unplugged.

Thanks! That’s a really hard question to answer because there are so many variables. But when the fridge is on, it pulls between 50-60wHrs so how long a battery will last is very dependent on how often the compression kicks on and for how long. Ambient outside temperature, how much you have in the fridge, and the temps you set it all all impact how often the compressor kicks on. Hope that helps

I have the IceCO VL60 pro and an Ecoflow power station to use in our Bronco. When you are driving do you plug the power station into the 12v in the back of the Bronco and the IceCo into the power station AC outlet? Will that usually keep the power station fully charged and the fridge running?

I'm not interested in having multiple fridges due to no storage space. With that said, my perfect fridge would be one that's expandable (if that's a thing). When i go out on a solo trip can i put the divider in and not use one section? In my mind that would effectively give me a smaller fridge but I'm not sure that's true in practical use. I like this size for the trips my wife goes with me.

How long did you have a VL fridge? I’m guessing less than a year cause that’s as long as they are apparently designed to last. @OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND 11 ай бұрын
I agree, the VL 45 pro is excellent. I have one and absolutely love it. Couple thoughts though. This is a dual zone, the VL is not. The VL is the perfect option for you it sounds like, but that doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. Second, I did get the fridge for free. It has taken me four years of filming, editing, learning, growing, and building trust is companies and my audience to get to the point where companies want to work with me. It really pisses me off when people get angry about getting something for free cause you have no idea the work that it took goto get here. Nor do you know the products that I’m sent that never see KZfaq because they are crap and I don’t want to share something that I don’t think is useful for you all.

I get that what you have in it depends on how often the compressor kicks on and how much power it draws, but why not fill it up like an average person might do with both zones running and just tell us what power it draws when the compressor is on and when its not on. I mean why not give some kind of data? You are doing a review on it. You even said it draws less which means you saw the data. Just odd you chose not to say it. It matters as people might be wanting to see if it works with their current power station setup.
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND Жыл бұрын
I did. I said when the compressor is on it draws 42 watts on eco mode and 72 watts on max mode. Then the insulation keeps that temp in better. Additionally, I said that this cooler uses less power over the course of an hour than a VL 60 Pro which is a single zone fridge

@@OFFTHEGRIND having had a KZfaq channel where I reviewed outdoor gear I have a few things to say. First of all, great video, very informative. I know what it takes to film, edit, and upload a video, it's more work and many people who have never done it don't know or appreciate all the work that goes into it. There are several brands I'm loyal to because they are great products. And it seems you're loyal to this brand. So, I'm wondering if your review is biased. Also, you said you got a free fridge, that also concerns me on if your review is biased. Many KZfaqrs who receive free products will gloss all over the great things about it and not go over the negative things about it. Not saying you're biased at all, just something I look at while doing research on a product I'm interesting in purchasing. Again, great video.
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND Жыл бұрын
All fair questions. And I appreciate you recognizing the time it goes in to making videos like this. If I work with a company, I tell them up front that my review will be 100% honest and not swayed by whatever deal we sign. If you watch my other reviews (set power for example) you’ll see regardless of me getting something for free, I’m not afraid to tell it how it is. At the end of the day, I don’t want to influence someone to buy something that is going to fail them. I will say I’ve been with Iceco for 2 years now and I have loved every product I’ve been sent from them. I try to look at each product objectively, but I’m sure there’s some unconscious bias in there. I certainly try to remove all of that when looking at a product. Again, I don’t want to mislead anyone
