Today we're talking about STALKER: Dreamcatcher, the sequel of Incubator, another amazing story mod developed by the same team (VIVIENT). I knew it would likely be something good coming from these guys, but I was not ready for this. This is by far one of the best mods I've played for STALKER. This could be an official DLC for Call of Pripyat, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. What an amazing experience. Do yourself a favor and try it, you won't regret it.

I've been loving this mod so far. Only problem is the lack of subtitles for a lot of the small interactions (for example, every time the main character talks to himself); the translation isn't great neither, but you can understand the gist of it. Keep on recommending mods, Cheeki !

Absolute banger of a mod, I'm about 10 hours deep and it's really good. It's a proper roleplaying mod too, you really feel the passion and care for the lore the devs have poured into it.

Thank you! Will definitely try this one (and Incubator), after finishing Chernobylite and the great COP Mod Wind Of Time. Really love your videos and your approach and dedication to the zone! :) By the way: I've done a Mod for Wind Of Time which removes the Minimap and made the HUD in general much cleaner, it's on moddb in the addon section of Wind Of Time - just in case anybody wants to try the game and is in need of a cleaner HUD just as i was :D

I recommend you to play incubator first, since it's too short, you can beat it in less than a half of a day.

Nice review, sounds kinda familiar, wink wink. Wasn't aware they were updating it but it's kinda weird that the english translation isn't being carried over. Might replay that one otherwise. The ambient occlusion is a bit overbearing here, I think.

I wonder if you could cover the global war mod down the line. I believe it's the only warfare focused mod and it recently got a pretty good translation. It adds a bunch of factions as well. It's something totally different, both for your channel and for the stalker community as a whole.

This mod is incredible. I love it, its fantastic, It is a shame that I am too incompetent and stupid to manage its difficulty and wont ever be able to complete it, but I am glad that it exists for others to enjoy

For everybody who suffers in this mod :-) Collecting artifacts is the key to get enough money to get strong armour and weapons. After this the game gets easier. Really amaznig mod this is. Fully recommended.

Tried this yesterday and got the second version with the incomplete translation and I have to say I am extremely dissapointed. None of the cutscenes appear to have subtitles and only 30-40 percent of the dialogue with npcs has them. You cant even see what your character is saying to himself. Was going to try the old version but somehow I do not feel like starting over after +3 hours playtime. So far I have always shared your opinions on mods and considered your recommendations very good. This will cause me to be more catious next time

I completely understand, i've been checking religiously every other day if the translations have been updated but unfortunately no. Very frustrating as I can't do really much about it, it's really the only downside so far for this great mod.

I played this mod right after playing True Stalker and I must honestly say that it is much better in many aspects.

Sadly True Stalker was a major letdown for people who have played other story driven mods, but honestly anything that gets people to try something out besides the current fotm freeplay mod is great. Other great story mods i would suggest would be Winds of Time,Goldsphere,Spatial Anomaly & FOTOGRAF.

Hey I'm not sure if you will see this but I am at the part where you are at the area with the brain that you have to turn off and find your commander and I am wondering if there is a "cheat" menu like in anomaly because I did not prepare enough for the journey as I thought, thank you in advance.

I might need some help. so I install it with 25 version which is the latest i look at the user ltx it is indeed fulscreen on however the registers its running on my control panel but isnt showing. Any advice what I can do. Im sure the antivirus isnt blocking it but if it is how can I check that>?

It's actually music from the mod (the one that plays when you are in Dead City), I really liked it and thought it would be fitting for the video so I recorded it straight from the game. I'm not sure what's the title / artist.

Why are the traders so damn expensive here? Its especially annoying because in Yantar you need good equipment to go to the brain scorcher. But how am i supposed to get 45000 roubles for a tin can of a helmet when 10 12 gauge slugs are for 4000 fucking roubles and ammo isnt found that much on dead stalkers? The economy is broken

You can get most of the stuff you need simply doing all the sidequests, stories are cool and rewards are great. Add to this looking a bit everywhere and looting hidden stashes, I barely had to buy anything besides ammo to finish the mod!

I'm interested too. I finished Incubator very recently, and I consider it very bad story wise. I understood the whole story, metaphor and plot twist in the first 5 minutes of the game, and, well, 8 hours later, it was exactly that. Plus everything feels like a Harry Potter fanfiction of a teenager writing-wise, but that might be because of the traduction or just cultural differences between Russia and western countries. Everything else was nice (stability, dubbing and overall feel was on point, so yeah, good production value) but the story was a huge letdown, and for a storymod, that's problematic. Plus, being ultra OP after playing for an hour removes the enjoyment you get from becoming progressively more powerful. So, yeah, I'd like to know where Dreamcatcher sits, compared to Incubator. The fact that it's longer might mean it gets a deeper story with better story, writing and more complex stuff. But also the fact that it is 20 hours long means, if it's not good, I'm not sure it's worth spending that much time

hi im a noob to stalker modding and games i just jumped it two weeks ago straight into stalker anomaly efp 4.2 version + i added adega texture pack few minor quality of life mods well great sandbox looks next gen espcially far better then escape from tarkov hands down witch this mod is base on... just want to know im a sucker for a story mode weather linear or not witch esp lacking want to know will this work with my version of the game 🤔🤔🤔

It's a standalone mod, see it as a whole different game, just install in a different folder and you're gucci
