Decades ago, I planned a little hand puppet show at the outdoor wedding of a couple I knew. The song playing in the background was I guess you finally got to me. I had the puppets and act all phases of their relationship. The other bridesmaids were behind a curtain, holding up objects as I moved across with the two hand puppets. It was a tremendous amount of work! It’s continued to make me very impressed by all the work that goes into being a performer.

Would you rather they lie about it just to spare somebody's feelings? You imposed your boundaries on others by indicating they're spreading negativity and should like it just because you think it's perfectly fine. That's not how life works. It's nothing to get defensive about either, because in the scheme of things, it doesn't really matter what anyone thinks, other than the bride and groom themselves.

Hate is an emotion and a much overused word. Ratchet is just a description of something. If it has a negative connotation for you, then that's your opinion. I laughed when I saw the video and never felt any 'hate' towards the creator of the video or its content.. You don't need to explain to me what someone else commented... that's their opinion, and I have mine. I can find more things to give thought to other than worrying about who got their feelings hurt by someone else's opinion.
