I've been using Windows 10 LTSC for years and it's honestly the best Windows and PC experience I've ever had. It has no bloat like mainstream Windows versions and you don't need to spend days troubleshooting basic things like in Linux.

I installed 11 IoT LTSC on an old Optiplex 7040 sporting an i7-6700, 32gb DDR4 and a 1050ti and it is running really good. Fast, smooth. It’s not a mission critical machine. It’s just something I keep in my workshop to look up repair manuals, listen to music and podcasts, and type up invoices.

you should do a video in depth talking about the positives and the negatives of win11 pro vs win ltsc and as you said what are the missing features and benshmark the both versions to see if there is any real performance difference before and after debloating the normal version

Beautiful Beautiful !!, as always beautiful videos my FRIEND !!, this is the shit that everyone WANTS !!!, by installing this, we don't need to install a Custom-Lite or Mini Win 11 Pro, although, some of them are trustworthy, but, if you can do a clean Installation of a Windows Original Copy without all the extra crap it will be fine, now in this video you are using the Iot LTSC, there is a Windows 11 only LTSC and that one comes with Co-Pilot and the windows store, but without Bloat other than the AI, so, I forgot that Microsoft made these editions of Windows 11, I was almost getting ready to install Windows 11 Pro, but when I saw your video and investigated, this is the best one to install I'll have to try the normal Pro version, because I know how to get rid of everything that I don't want, using different programs, let's see which one is better a debloated version of Pro or a Normal version of LTSC, Saludozzzzzzzzzz my Friend from Mexico, take care everyone epaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!

What MS is really trying to do is dual monetize their regular customize by sell their telemetry to 3rd parties /partners. The first income stream ends at the purchase of the PC. The 2nd income stream (based on telemetry data streams) never ends.

I switched mostly to linux, just kept a windows 10 partition mainly for some gaming (gaming on linux nowadays is really close to windows gaming). I am thinking of putting LTSC on my windows partition but it won't make me give up on linux. I think windows make a lot of money from the bloat and personnal date it collect with it so LTSC like edition for normal consumer won't be a thing in my opinion and it is almost impossible to get a licence legally for the LTSC version.

for now it's only for testing purposes, and ltsc is actually not for regular users, it's for big businesses and companies so it is also expensive

There is also a win10 version of this that has even lower requirements and should still receive security updates for 7-10 years. The only thing about LTSC, I can't find where to get a license from. I don't believe the normal cdkey sites sell licenses for this version of windows.

Does this version have the same thing happen that after an hour is reboots, due to not being activated? Had this happen on win10 LTSC inside a previeous kvm vm instance with gpu-passthrough(i therefore searched and seemed like a intended behaviour). How much space does it take after installing? willing to try again on gpu-passthrough VM in linux.

@@SRC267 if possible test this on your 2nd pc or laptop, because this does not come with many features and apps wgich might be required for games or other apps... you may have to download or enable those features,,,, like for example i was getting the dll error just to run an program called localsend because Microsoft Visual c++ 2015-2022 Redistributable were not there on system and i had to manually install them... if you get an error and you dont know how to fix then this isn't good for you

Depends on your use case. Personally, I never used the microsoft store to install stuff so that is something I didn't miss, but before moving to linux nearly two years ago I used Windows 10 LTSC for many years with no issues - the only annoyance was it was missing the windows 10 photo viewer but relied on the old one from windows 7, and there was actually a noticable difference in quality between the two viewers. Installed win 10 LTSC on an old computer and it runs great, while it can barely run normal windows 10. And anytime I need to do a fresh install for someone, I always go for the LTSC version, normal windows is just way too bloated, resource heavy, and full of telemetry. It's not for absolutely everyone, but IMO 90% of windows users could switch to LTSC and only notice a performance improvement. Remember, we all lived perfectly fine without the MS Store on windows 7.

let me be honest it's it's not worth switching to ltsc, because it's expensive and pro/home keys wont work.. and only thing you get is cleaner windows,

Enterprise users (companies, government) need those security features to keep their networks secure, but home users don't need all those security features. There appear to be some bugs with the regular 24H2 on the release preview channel

Unfortunately, the drawback is you’re going to have to perform a clean install and reinstall all your apps and if your current Windows 11 Pro build runs fine, it may not be worth moving over to LTSC. If you’ve got an older PC that has Windows 10 on it, it could extend its useful life.
