Touring the Bulevard de Sabana Grande from Plaza Venezuela to Chacaito
The Bulevar de Sabana Grande houses places and buildings of high historical, cultural and heritage value, which are among the highlights of modern architecture of the 20th century in Venezuela. The Radio City cinema, the Phelps Tower, the Polar building, the Capriles Tower, the Centrum Tower, the Lincoln Tower, the Business Center, the Teatro del Este, the old Bomba Shell, the La Previsora ​​building, and the Los Andes building, among others, they are part of that urban memory, a mandatory reference of the El Recreo Parish. The Sabana Grande boulevard is also home to the most important ornithological collection in Latin America: the William Phelps Ornithological Museum.13 Added to these are establishments such as the Gran Café founded by Henri Charriere or the Pasaje Galerías Bolívar, in addition to the Callejón La Asunción , restaurants, shops and bookstores that evoke the best moments of the country's political, social and cultural history. PDVSA La Estancia Art Center, in the process of recovering the boulevard (2011), managed to identify a total of nine heritage properties in the second section of the pedestrian promenade, among which the Arismendi, Manaure, Araure, Acapulco, Continental and La Asunción, in addition to the Centro Comercial del Este.
