There is only one official on-field cap of Major League Baseball. Watch Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman design his own collection at the New Era Headquarters and create his own On-Field cap at New Era's facility in Derby, NY. Look out for his collection dropping later this year.

I love NE baseball caps. I've been wearing them and collecting them since I was a kid, for probably 25 yrs or more. I loved the makeover the MLB AC got about 12 yrs ago and the change over to polyester. It was a total improvement in everywhere over the old school wool caps. However, I think MLB and New Era have went way overboard with the amount of hats they produce now. I recently went online to order a new cap and I searched for official on field pro hats and it brought up a ridiculous amount of options. I had to browse through several pages before I found an actual hat a team wears 99.9% of the time. There are so many different hats for so many different events. Batting practice, July 4th, 9-11, All-Star Game, St. Patrick's Day, Home Run Derby, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Low Profile, camouflage hats to support the military, Player's Weekend hats (whatever that is), Spring Training. It's ridiculous. The on field caps and batting practice are all you need. Cooperstown and Turn Back The Clock, both basically the same, are cool. 9-11 and Fourth of July can be the same cap. St. Patty's Day used to be reserved for a few select teams. Postseason patches are fine. Why so many???

He is wearing a Made in USA cap and not a low profile. USA made regular caps are 100% better than the china ones. You have to dig around your nearest hat store to find one MADE IN USA that fits perfectly.

I just picked up a jays low crown cap and it is sooo much better that the normal ones. The low crown feels like how new era caps always should have felt. I never understood why new era caps were so damn tall. And new era never figured out that someone with a small diameter head might need a shallower cap. They just made the small caps the same depth and you are left with a friggen tube of a hat. Anyway the low crown is way better for me. They are harder to find though.

you just have to curve it yourself and one other thing, you don't need to buy a low crown hat in order to have a hat that isn't bulky. Just follow these steps and you will be pleased with the results. first you can ether use a blow drier or hot water, heat up the crown of your hat until it feels hot enough after that put it on and press it against your head and start shaping it until it cool off. And for the curved brim you can use a baseball or a hockey puck, place it in the middle of the brim and put a rubber band around it, leaved over night and on the next morning you will have a great looking baseball hat that isn't bulking or huge. Remember after doing it you can't go back. There's a couple of tutorial videos of how to break in a hat in here. Let me know if it worked out alright.

The new era hats that come from China are made so different from the ones made in America. They don't fit the same at all. The quality sucks now and that's why I stopped buying from new era.
