Honestly, it was GT that got me into Burst. I left Beyblade after MFS. But the whole thing with GT chips was enough for me to be like "Oh hey, it's like the plastic gen" and start paying attention and eventually start collecting.

@@spynae very much the exact same thoughts, the GT Chips got me fully back into Beyblade. Master Diabolos’ design even reminded me of Plastic Gen thanks to the dragon heads.

I remember my first bey, an old hand-me-down Dragoon that my brother let me have. To think that Beyblade has come so far makes me both proud that I was here to witness it grow and sad that another system is coming to a close. I wish all bladers out there the best of launches, the hardest attacks, and the most insane bursts, no matter which system you're using. May our blader spirits never run dry.

Fun Fact: The first BeyBlade Ultimate Dragoon was in a Videogame called Bakuten Beigoma for the Classic GameBoy, console that replaced the Failure known as Virtual Boy of Nintendo

G-Revolution was great, back when the battles weren't influenced by marketing and there was actual skill consistency with the characters. Those bladers were built differently compared to the other.

@@Sybry605 That's not what I mean. It's something Burst has an issue with in later seasons with new release syndrome. Particularly how they suddenly turn established characters into fodder for the new bey (Usually Rantaro or any of the other Kiyama characters). And about the engine gear, that usually doesn't decide the battle, yes it helps but it doesn't carry

I have a few plastic Gen beys but nothing before the Anime in terms of appearance. The one thing I hate is that the pack in launchers are like super small and uncomfortable to hold, more so than the TT burst light launchers

Spin Deagoon was my sis’ first Beyblade, mine was Draciel S. we lost most of our OG Beys, but I manage to hold onto my Hasbro Red Dranzer Gigs.

I've been around since the old plastic ones. My first was a Draciel G. Out of all the gens I've liked metal fight the most. I like burst but they feel a little less customizable to me and I never really liked the burst mechanic itself.

I just got a full stainless steel metal beyblade dragoon f for 200 and it was worth every freakin penny. I'll post a video on it evenutally. It's crazy, always wanted them to be full metal and now i know why they didn't, very dangerous.

@@nuc from day 1 Driger was my favorite as was Ray, made an old plastic gen bey that actually gave me a scar on my hand ... which is why metal saga and burst locked the spin direction on layers ... because of crazy players like me

The name Beyblade wasn't official until the later games and of course Takao Aoki's Bakuten Shoot series later became the populat hit that started it all

Up until about 2 days ago, I had no idea the other gens existed. This was the only gen I knew of. One kid dominated the schoolyard with one with just an enormous weight disc. It was so heavy it failed to launch most times, but because we were kids, it didn't occur to us that A) our smaller ones had no chance of beating this one B) we shouldn't have forgiven the times it failed to launch (only because of point A)

i have an old bey from my older brothers childhood, he recently gave it to me after his kid was born as i was interested in beyblades and it was special to him and needed to keep it safe, neither of us know the name of the bey though it is yellow and red. edit : it has the 2001 hasbro launcher so its likely a hasbro version

Well actually if you want to get real technical and cultural, if you remember beyblade is also know as beigoma. Which in actual cases, beyblade started in 1914.

when baybladed took over my school during the second saga. one of my friends didnt have enough money to get "modern" beyblades at the time but his brother used to be a big fan of it during the 2000,s so he had a few retro beys he got handed down. and by god my galaxy pegasus was no match for those retro beys

What you had was probably from the Hard Meatl System/Hard Metal System/HMS. Those had a lot more metal and were the bridge bewteen plastic and metal saga beys
