I saw This is the Kit live at Folk by the Oak this year (2023) and it was such a lovely experience, not just because TITK is already my favourite musical group. But the joy that Kate brings when performing her songs, with her lovely character that just seems so genuine is such a treat. You can tell she has such a passion for the gorgeous and unique music that she produces, adding to the already amazing sounds of the music she makes in the first place. I also had the pleasure of meeting her after the performance, getting a t-shirt, some photos and a signed CD of Careful of your Keepers, and you can tell just talking to her in person that the on-stage personality that she carries is actually her personality, not some fake persona made to entice newcomers to her sound. Keep being you, thank you for being an inspiring and cool human being.
