Hi Unc, hope all is well. Just a thought, could it be that your habit of moisturising your hands, face and all with mineral brake fluid oil (or baby oil as you call it) as you work on your brake components be the reason why they all seem to fail after you service them? Brake pads and rotors seem to suck up any type of oil, lube grease on them like a paper towel. Found that one out the hard way. My brakes were fine new. I got carried away with chain lube and wd40 one day, they were never the same. Took me new pads, rotors, brake bleed as well as a lot of swearing and screaming, then a thorough cleaning of my calliper with isopropyl alcohol to make them 100% again.

Starting to regret my juiced purchase and I've had it for 4 months lol only a few minor problems but I'm replacing the brakes now and boy this doesn't look good! Any recommendations on a solid ebike? Ariel rider any good?

That bike a overpriced POS for sure. I was shocked how low quality the components were when had to do repairs on one recently and had to change front fork, upgrade battery connections upgrade controller and brakes to get it useable. Hence reason why just custom built my own and used a Bafang Ultra mid drive a custom frame made by Aostirmotor using there s17 frame I contacted them as and had them modify frame with the Bafang ultra bottom mounting and beef up areas of frame and decent KKE fork with a Fox rear shock. Plus midrange SRAM group set, Samsung 21700 cells at 20aH and looks better then most prebuilt from factory. Yes did cost close to 3k but worth it as actually rides nice and better components then these bottom barrel components they use on these prebuilt with high profit margin in mind. Night and day difference as bike actually feels safe at high speeds to the point don’t even notice going at or above 32mph and can still peddle it with the torque sensing that works well especially when just cruising at low speeds motor actually varies based how you hard you push on pedal and not just on or off like cadence sensing? The only Chinese eBike company I actually like is Aostirmotor as you can contact them directly and only company that was able to video chat and has them custom designed the frame and gave me progress report and listen to fix potential issues like chain line up and areas of frame wanted stronger and etc. Chain line is dead on and frame has basically no flex and been reliable. likely only one that has a prototype mid drive from this company. Honestly hoping they borrow/steal the design fixes and using mid drive motors and start making them for others. As one of the 3 main companies that actually design their bikes. Most just rebadged from another company and sell the same crap pretty much. Even these US companies like the bullet P51 ebike that claims to be in CA is just another rebadged Chinese bike rebadged and customized but same crap seen a year ago can order for $1300 yes add $450 shipping if just ordering one direct from the real manufacturer but sold at a ridiculous $3850.

Didn’t you completely change the brake system including filing part of the frame and filing a modified caliper bracket? Seems really stupid to me to complain about the build quality of the bike to the point that you sell it when you’re the one that modified and re-engineered the entire braking system. 🤡
