hey @JayzTwoCents possibly a bit late now but I've had that same bricking issue doing the same BIOS flashing shenanigans (more than once!). My usual solution is to bung the brick into a secondary slot and plug something not-Nvidia in as the primary card - it might show how often I've done this that I keep an ancient ATI (yes, pre-AMD!) Radeon x1300 (passive, slot powered) card in the tool box for just this. Then boot up windows and fire up nvflash. No it doesn't matter at all that Windows doesn't recognise the card, just that nvflash does see something flashable (this is why AMD card, nvflash won't see it). This is also why the toolkit has an old x58 BIOS based board that boots up straight DOS - very occasionally this is the only way to get the card recognised by nvflash. My experience is NV cards are really hard to brick without actual hardware failure - and yes, I've flashed/bricked a revA quadro with a revB Quadro firmware and resurrected it in 20 minutes with the correct bios.

From the reviews I've seen, that radiator puts out a crazy amount of heat. Dumping 450+W of heat into your case isn't a great idea. I guess for custom loop that maybe an issue, but even then... unless you want to change the colour of the loop or you purchased bad quality dye and it degraded... it pretty much never needs any maintenance. AiO in my experience is maintenance free as no maintenance was required well after Fury X became obsolete (8 years)... it still spins to this day and performance is more than adequate (in fact I don't think it degraded at all). Again - seems like your experience is nothing more than rumours and exaggerations. I can agree that custom loops may require some maintenance, but that in comparison is less than cleaning dust stuck in air cooled GPUS... what is even worse is that many requires removal of entire cooler just to clean the dust (especially reference designs) and they are way worse than water cooling maintenance when you have to repaste and replace pads on GPU. So all in all - the statement that water requires more maintenance than air only applies in some very specific circumstances and on balance of probability is unlikely.

Looking forward to 4070 card, will be considering it as an upgrade from 1080. I kinda do want some RTX-on in my life

I wish I had one of them. I would run the silent bios mode and I would only do a little overclock on it.

@jay and team...curious on the sound in this video...was the background fan noise reduced, and that's why when Jay talks there's a strange background noise, or do y'all have some construction going on in the building? Either way...seems like you were battling the background noise a bit...

I've been tempted to get this card or the Gigabyte RTX4090 24GB AORUS XTREME Waterforce PCIe Graphics Card with the massive 3 fans rad. I just don't know which one to get for better temps, especially since Australia is now going into summer and I'm sure we'll get around the 40 degrees Celsius or more (104 fahrenheit)

I've never looked at a liquid cooled video card before - it used to be common concensus they were louder but that may have changed. I'm not that concerned about additional FPS with over clocking - just about sound level, I want the absolute quietest 4090 video card within about 5% of each other in speed. There is always someone saying that can't hear this or that - I could probably ask about jackhammers and someone would undoubtably say - I never noticed the noise for that jackhammer.

I wish they would do more on the backplates of these things. You dont even see the bottom unless you use weird mounts

I mentioned this to Paul's hardware channel. Oddly enough, I have this card and originally ordered a corsair 1000psu and the power limit on after burner was 120%. I had to return it because it had very loud coil whine (found faulty) and I ordered a be quiet 1000w psu to replace it. The power limit on after burner went to 125% for some reason? This is with the surpim X liquid. Also, I turned off the zero rpm feature, I really didn't like a 50 degree brick sitting at the centre of my case, exchanged it for a typical fan curve and idle temps went down to 25s-30s and seems to stay a lot cooler in use. Cheers Jay.

It is great looking card and size just right they did good job. I wanted add I bet reason MSI don't add LED light support for MSI afterburner is they scared adding bugs to a well done code. I just got this feeling is true. Think about it.
EVGA made a 4090... and I have it!
