you should! lag isn't bad I'm from Mexico and I race without issues every time, and most night races have 0 or 1 entries and get cancelled. And another thing, LFM is by far the place with the cleanest drivers I've seen, you can have a fair fight leaving space and expect the same from the others.

For me it was the other way around. Played AC for a few years now and this year I bought PS5 and started playing GT7. I've never realised how much I missed tuning and creating decals/car liveries in AC until I started playing GT7. Now it feels weird when I'm at AC and have to choose one of the models on servers instead of having my own.

real penalty lets them do rolling starts. when it was the off season lfm did a rolling start for muti class at the endro lay out of the ring.

They use Real Penalty for rolling starts in a few of the series but it's quite messy atm. Car classes aren't separated, everyone starts together. And if someone decides to not follow the rules and skip ahead, it screws up the start procedure for everyone else.

There are some cars that are harder to drive in Forza than AC because of how bad the downforce physics are lol

@@bfife22agreed. Honestly, I’d argue that most of the harder core sims are more driveable than Forza on a wheel. The physics are more intuitive, and most handling models feel waaaay more stable up to the limits of grip. Controllability beyond the limits is very far and physics engine dependent, but rarely a far cry.

Forza feels terrible on a wheel. The fact that they added an artificial delay to manual clutch shifting to not give manual sim players an advantage against automatic controller players, then locked the solution to this self-made problem behind grinding exp for your car until you unlock actual realistic shifting... I can't even put the words together on how emblematic of everything wrong with Forza that is. It's like their entire misguided design philosophy displayed in one neat example. I played it on game pass and still felt robbed. Play anything else except that game please.

@@steel5897as a controller player that complaint isn’t exactly accurate. If you play motorsport with clutch and manual the game requires more precise timing than the horizon games. It was frustrating coming from fh5 to motorsport, but for me, after about 5 hours of racing it was much easier to get clean shifts without having to waste pi on transmission/clutch upgrades. I’d recommend a google search along the lines of “forza motorsport manual shift timing” as that’s what made it clear to me what changed from previous titles.

I tried playing AC with controller, just to learn up the Nordschleife layout. I also tried Lambo at SPA time trial and I got 2 27. With my Logitech G923 on SPA I am faster by 6 seconds. You may practice a lot, but I am not sure it would be enough to be competitive

This is the only reason I don't play Assetto Corsa. The controller support is so ass. Whenever I mention it people say "there's record holders who play on controller" or "skill issue get good" and it's not helpful at all. It makes the game very inaccessible for casual racing if you don't have a wheel and I don't want to reconfigure my controller settings every single time I switch cars.

The problem might be that AC is a simulator. Made for simulate when using wheel. Tried just from curiosity AC on keyboard and it was playable but forget about being competitive. There are a lot of racing titles for casual gamers on controllers, so few with good wheel support. So maybe just stick to other games. There are tasks to do with tools needed, but you can always try drill a hole in concrete using spoon. But it will be fun? Hope you get what I meant.

​@@wisniatdFalse. ACC works great on controller so does iRacing. It's all about providing steering assists or driver aids for players. Kunos figured that out in ACC but can get away with it in AC being their first game.
