Communism by ideology is stateless anarchism. The original name for libertarianism He is a state socialist which is not a communist. @@penderyn8794I'm so damn tired of this "no true scotsman"-argument. Communism is to a socialist what the biblical god is to a christian. An idealised metaphysical thing they worship, that contorts to be whatever they want it to be so it lines up with their own beliefs and at best keeps a common rethoric. By definition, there can never be actualised communism so to claim that any socialist state wasn't truly communist is both true and entirely irrelevant. Those dictatorships were as close to or far from achieving true communism as anyone wants them to be. Saying they were no true socialists/communists is like saying christian fundamentalists aren't true christians. Those groups of people saw and see themselves as true adherents to their sacred creed of choice and acted accordingly. Idealists are kind of insane. We do this things for pretty clear chemical reasons. We genuinely desire the feeling and taste of beer. We can enjoy that without the alcohol. This is just our mind’s ability to compartmentalize pleasures. Mix and match.

Pornography is a good example of sex without sex. Audre Lorde is known to have said, “pornography is a direct denial of the power of the erotic, for it represents the suppression of true feeling. Pornography emphasizes sensation without feeling”. Rest in power Audrey Lorde.

I think he's saying that he's saying that people try to pass of being non racist by glorifying a group of people but like he said with beer without alkohol, That beer would still be unhealthy cuz of calories and such. So by glorifying the natives being holistic you ignore something deeper. This man can be confusing sometimes and I'm probably wrong about this one
@brandonszpot8948 Жыл бұрын
There’s some context you’ll probably need here: One point Zizek has made before is that the notion of “beautiful culture” is not genuine. It’s a falsehood projected onto “others” in bourgeois society. In Zizek’s words, “there is no such thing as a beautiful culture”. The reality is that, if we want to make genuine progress in overcoming racial problems globally, we must recognize that our particular cultural positions are not universal, that other’s are also not universal, and that if one is attempting to be universal they must actively recognize this when beginning to move through a notion. The generally patronizing attitude that liberals have when talking about foreigners exists almost exclusively to expand capital, i.e. to make “others” an atomized category that can be marketed and exploited in its own unique “cultural” way. A good example is the one Zizek gives here. The notion that native Americans were somehow not exploitative of nature, but rather lived in some kind of spiritual harmony with it is a liberal misreading. Obviously native superstitions were centered around the natural world, but in truth this is the case for most superstitions. Native Americans are also humans. They aren’t categorically different from humans. They don’t just inherently act differently because of their superstitions. If one reads closely, one can see that natives also exploited nature as any other would.
