it looks nice, but I'm still waiting for the comeback of small hatchbacks, sedans and convertibles. There are way too many SUVs out there and not nearly enough money

Looks great but yet another SUV. Is it too much to ask for a small hatch to replace the fiesta or the focus? And how about giving us a nice 2+2 coupe a la Capri style

@@lucius574 all the other manufacturers seem to manage. VW, Vauxhall, Toyota, Peugeot, SEAT, Fiat and so on. Most of the time batteries are built into the floor of the vehicle, the floor pan can be the same on an SUV as on a mid size coupe. Production of Fiesta ends this year, focus in 2025 and Ford will only be able to offer SUV to everyday customers.

This should really come to the US as the “Explorer Sport EV” since “Sport” already means “mini” in the ford lineup (such as the Bronco Sport)… or it could honestly be marketed as the Bronco Sport EV here in the US

This is a great looking vehicle and i like that it is fairly compact but seems to have a strong presence at the same time. I hope they come to New Zealand and won’t cost the earth to buy.

Really like the design! 💙 However, I‘m not sure that calling it EXPLORER was a good choice. I mean, I get the thinking behind it from a marketing perspective, going for the ‚adventurous spirit‘ and all that, but I assume it will cause confusion with the US Explorer, which is much bigger and is still being offered in other parts of the world. I doubt it is smart to have multiple different vehicles bearing the same nameplate…

Ford have done this before. 20 years ago. The US market Fusion was a rebadged Mondeo, whilst the Euro market Fusion was a raised Fiesta

@@CB-bi1be You're exactly the kind who turned me off from Tesla. Spent some time in San Jose, Ca and there were about five Teslas at every traffic signal. It was actually fun to count all the Tesla lemmings everywhere, looking like government issued vehicles. "Hey...Let's all drive the same car and share our stories at cocktail parties"

This SUV will definitely be a legend. Good job guys I had the 1990 explorer that lasted me almost 30 years and I feel sad i had to let her go and lay her rest she did a great job and never let me on the middle of the road. But I feel happy at the same time that her legend continues.......🚙

Ford is no longer the brand Henry Ford had worked for and not the brand we all grew up to know. I appreciate innovation and new designs. I just don't see why they are moving away from what people actually want! Cheaper brands have evolved and over took ford in the small hatchback and saloon market and made it work. Ford just doesn't care which helps ford fans like me feel less guilty for looking at another brand for my next car

I agree, it seems that Hyundai/Kia are the new Ford. Affordable great looking cars that people want. I understand that they are a company who needs to make a profit but they always seemed 1 x step behind. Not sure why they couldn’t sell any of the China only Fords in Europe or the States 🤷‍♂️

Congratulations on this electric exploration vehicle. I hope that Ford will soon think about making similar vehicles, but with dimensions also suitable for the traffic and roads of Europe like the Ford Puma but with an electric motor. But with competitive prices to Chinese cars (see MG4, etc...) Greetings from Italy. Complimenti per questo veicolo esplorativo elettrico. Mi auguro che Ford, pensi presto a fare dei veicoli simili, ma di dimensioni adatte pure per il traffico e le strade d'Europa come la Ford Puma ma con motore elettrico. Ma con prezzi concorrenziali alle auto cinesi ( vedi MG4,ecc...) Saluti dall'Italia.

Been enjoying my Kuga Plug-in for some months now and been new to the Ford family, loving the way they keep evolving but this is a great step backwards for me. If they want to invest on electric cars they should have built their own MEB Base. If I wanted a VW, I would have bought one. Nah, I'm not that excited for the future after this...

I am sure it’s a good car, but they don’t mention range and as the world has not gone all electric yet, it will be difficult to explore the world in any ev for now.
