Alpine are back with the new A110, let's find out what it's like! With a walkaround of the Premiere Edition before jumping in for a drive on road and track, BenzeneBen gets to grips with the newest Alpine A110 and tells us what it's like. With 252PS from the turbo I4 but weighing just 1,103kg, only 1,955 units will be made of the Premiere Edition and all are already spoken for. Time to hit the roads and experience the car...
Flying to the South of France for the drive, the launch event from Alpine offered opportunities to experience the A110 on both local roads and at the circuit. As a newcomer to the sportscar segment but with a huge following already, Alpine which is part of Renault is arriving in a very strong way.

It looks stunning, it sounds lovely, and it's an Alpine. There's lots to love about that car. I just wish they would've given the option to get a manual gearbox in there. That would just improve the retro/Rallye feel so much. Also, good video, Ben. Enjoyed it a lot.

Excellent work BenzinaBen! Have been eagerly awaiting a review of this car for a long time now. Used to own the previous model the A310 with 2.7 litre engine. Great fun but not very reliable. It's good to see Alpine back, they have been away for over 30 years. Merry Christmas

Probably the best compromise between the 4C (which is light but not that comfy) and the Cayman (pretty comfy but way too heavy for a sport car).

Great review Ben! The more I see a review of the new Alpine, the more I love it. It certainly has more character than a 718 Cayman. It also looks much better.

Awesome video really got most of what people want to see and hear! One criticism is that you have to remember that a whole bunch of Shmee150 viewers are not familiar with the youtube community so referring to Seb's lotus is probably not the best of examples when my dad is watching! Enjoyed your vlog again. The original A110 has always been one of my dream cars. In those days I had the oppertunity to see and sit in it at a Renault dealers showroom. Will this new Alpine A110 compete in the Rally of Monte Carlo one day ?

Made a better job of that than the boss would Ben, really enjoyed this video. Blasting around the 'ring in supercars scaring yourself stupid is all well and good, but fanging around a local track in a car more people could actually afford is probably just as much fun.

So it's got a nice sound. One thing I wonder though, was exhaust sound being fed into the cabin through the speakers? The sound was quite loud for such a small car.

Hello Ben, wasn't keen to begin with but as the video went on the car grew on me, as the car pulled away at the start of the video it sounded a bit naff, a bit artificial but sounded great once inside the car. The rear styling isn't my cuppa but is in keeping with the original it was based on. Nice video.

Ben well done, did you note how you started off in the video with the um ah , but by the time you were warmed up, it just came naturally, personally I prefer your commentary to Tim's better technical understanding of how cars work. When you get really polished you can inject a little humour around your avenger theme, that's how shows like Top gear made their name. Lite on the basic stats, then all about detail and personal feel of drive...super super report... Tim you need to give Ben more cameo appearances...
