It definitely is lovely. More laid back and easier to navigate compared to Phnom Penh. Also a very nice place for expats, a lot of interesting foreigners make up a fine community. 👍😉

"Reap" does NOT mean "defeat" but it implies defeat. "Reap" means "flat" or to "to flatten". Siem Reap literally means "to flatten Siam."

literally, 'reap' means defeated. we use it daily. Like Jom Reap sour means "Hello" when you say to the elder while bow down placing your self lower. When you humble, people admire your humility and they will call you "Reap" Teap. So Reap means to lower, to put to be humble, to defeat. have a good time lovely couple!
