My favorite tao thing was the glitch in CT where your hits could do negative damage and heal instead.

It's kinda funny seeing Taokaka actually do damage, considering that when you watch CF it's a rare occasion when she'll do too much more than 2.5k from a combo. AnimEvo online from a couple of years ago had a Tao vs Tager match I think in EU and it took a million touches for Tao to kill.

It's funny how sometimes you can clearly tell a character has been heavily nerfed to atone for the sins of the past, and BBCF Taokaka definitely feels that way.

On the other hand, this game is a good example of what can happen at the extremes of buffing for balance. in CF they have her drive limited by her remaining jumps, so she can either triple jump or use drive 3 times (unless landing on the ground)

If Tao stayed good I would’ve stayed in Blazblue competitive but after she got gutted she literally cannot dream of beating Tager anymore, so I dropped the game. Maybe I’ll pick up lambda since I do relate to her.

Tao and Rag really got me into the game through their combos,but Tao really fits me due to how she feels so quick like a MvC character honestly. Tao's mobility was so fun its basically what got me into Fighting games. She's still to this day my favorite character to play in any fighting game. Its hillarious looking back cause I couldnt do the taunt loop, I didnt use item throw at all, I didnt use "almost becoming two" at all, I didnt play online at all, and the only combos I knew was from training mode. She was ridiculously fun I also remember that A. in CS should could just 2C. Fully charged it would always be a fatal counter even if it wasnt a counter but I dont know if that affects anything if it actually is a counter but it does, in theory, make the 'crawl under Jin's DP' thing even more messed up. and B. Yes, she had 3 jumps. But her drive did count as jumps.

CS Makoto was another beast with her super high damage combos I player her and valk.

Buppa the GOD. Man won a 2 man tournament on his own in CS2 even picked up Tao pretty sure after this event.

Takes me all the way back to playing at Super Arcade with Xie, Jona, Vineeth, Burger Mcnasty, and the whole SoCal crew. And all the times the NorCal crew came down also. Damn that was like over 10 years already I think.

In cf her drive is directly tied to her jumps she has 3 jumps so 3 drive uses in the air her back jump d resets her drive uses in the air and also her jumps because it touches the ground. In CF tao is still super mobile and crazy but she just deals no damage

She does have three jumps. 1 base jump, then two air actions. You can either choose to dash twice, jump twice, or do one of each. And in CS that's BEFORE accounting for any drive mobility/ wall-clinging while midair. Girl has insane mobility. Also, I was trying to remember what you meant by "THE infamous combo", but couldn't bring it to mind. Then I saw the Taunt Punch Loop, and a wave of trauma came flooding back. Say what you will about Arcsys, but at least they generally learn lessons for future installments.
