Somehow it is still better than some other hot garbo I have seen that is pure enemy spam and "pick a door" at least this had some entertainment value of having some skill.. sure 90% of it was "skill" to get some other death but it wasn't totally pointless?

Agreed for sure. Uncleared levels have been ruined for months until last week. I do hope he gives us the youtube exclusive ones back though. That was his best content when I didn't have to fast forward through him discussing what to do next with chat.

I remember seeing Carl do this first level ~ a month ago. I think they sometimes don’t register someone winning a level. Sometimes “communication error” on screen after completing a level. 🤷‍♂️

Often a communication error means that the level creator took the level down while you were playing it. Had this happen to me once at the end of a 500-second speedrun that took the entire time limit to clear.

I would love to see DGR and Rhyukahr do a collab video where they play levels like this and see who can beat more of them in x amount of time. Like set up a run of 10-20 of them and see who clears them first. 2 of my fav youtubers to watch for sure. Keep the great content coming :)

Dave did fantastic on introducing the levels, zooming in to give us enough info, but not too much to give us some satisfying mystery, I love how he took requests to hide more and did it

It stands to reason that frustrated players who were attempting that last level would at some point jump into the bottom opening of the goal post just cause "why not" even if they hadn't noticed the coin so i'm fairly sure they added that clear condition just for trolling purposes.

I've played a lot of uncleared Expert levels lately. Some I beat with help from the level viewer. Some I beat by cheesing. Still others weren't hard levels at all and I don't see how they ended up in Expert. But a few levels were genuinely tough, and probably could go in Super Expert. I'm a bit of a weak button masher, for instance, so I usually don't clear Expert level button mashers.

Can someone explain to me how Mario Maker works exactly? Ive played mario & play games but have never played Mario Maker. -Can anyone create a level? -How does the game know the world is actually beatable? -What stops them from making a world with a wall that CANT be completed? -Does the “Maker” have to complete the level, themselves, to prove that its winnable? -So Dave knows that any level he plays it is possible to beat? I know there’s a thing that players want NO level left un-completed to “beat” Mario Maker. So im curious how the game works.

You have to personally beat a level from beginning to end in one shot in order for it to be uploaded and listed online. You can abuse some glitches to do so but only ones that Nintendo allows to remain in effect. I believe that you need to touch every checkpoint you make as well but I’m not sure on that one as it’s been awhile since I messed with the editor.

That's interesting knowing that technically someone has beaten the level already, being the creator, and that these insanely hard and complex levels are made (which probably takes many hours) then the person has to spend time beating the level in order to get it listed.

I don't know how it's really pronounced, but i'm from Philly and we have a street here called Camac Street and we have always pronounced it "kay-mak", so that's how i always said it.

Hey Dave, can you please play my level! I made it back in 2020 and it’s pretty short but I want to see what you think of it! PHS-TLD-MSG is the id, i also made this dgr level in 2020 but be warned, there is trolls in it. BS1-1K8-BNF is the id of the dgr one!
