This Is... The Swamp Is Presented by Wells Fargo
In this episode, The Gators hit the practice field as spring practice is upon us. Quarterback Graham Mertz goes on ESPN Radio to talk with Steve Russell about the chemistry he sees with the 2024 team.
Next, we hop on a plane and head to Los Angeles, as the GatorMade staff takes players on their annual Business Break. The players get an opportunity to visit Showroom LA, NFL Network, Google, Activision, the Los Angeles Lakers & Paramount studios over the course of a week where they gain invaluable knowledge and make connections that will benefit them long after they hang up the pads.
As new Defensive Line Coach Gerald Chatman says, "what happens in the living room stays in the living room." Defensive Lineman Kelby Collins and Coach Chatman give us a glimpse at what goes into daily prep for the Gators defensive front, and how they have formed a bond with their new leader.
They don't call it DBU for nothing. New Defensive Backs Coach Will Harris brings an infectious energy and holds his players to a high standard every day they step on the practice field. Hear from Defensive Back's Bryce Thornton & Sharif Denson on how their group works to make each other better every day.
As spring practice comes to a close and the next phase of the offseason approaches, Coach Billy Napier shares a message with the team as they prepare to take the next step towards preparing for the 2024 Season.

I think mostly from Will Harris... If the secondary comes in with a more aggressive mentality in run support, playing the ball, and understanding their assignments then it will carry over into so many improvements from last year

He was brought in to fix the shipwreck that Dan Mullen left! The team is really going to take off in 2025, but we’ll see great improvements this year

Yeah these videos really show what happens behind the scenes of a 5-7 football program. Instead of studying film on our opponents, we’re letting some chick teach our players how Linkd in works. Explains a lot about our on-field product.

@brandonallger1795 Tell me you don't know about a spring program without telling me. Dude, they WILL study film! In the fall, when it matters. Looking at film this far out won't improve the individual or the unit. Not to mention, the repeat teams UF play aren't the same as last year. UGA, LSU, Vols, Cats... they are all different because of the key players that aren't there in '24.

Personally I love the way CBN coaches his players, and the way he speaks to his players!! CBN knows he has a better team this year the 3 big coaching additions for the defense will pay off big this fall!! Defense improvement is the key for this team!!

I'm tired of folks saying "trust the process" and "give him time to build" etc, in sports either you win or lose point blank period! Now if we look better and give maximum effort then cool but if we look the same that ain't gone fly! Winning buys you more time but ain't nobody buying wolf tickets no more! “Trust the process” is the most annoying line ever. In our last game we had players swinging at coaches and spitting on people. But some of our fans are like “OMG we’re teaching players how to Linkd in, Billy’s the best”

At this point, I don’t think we’ve got enough time for them to bulk up. Every single one of them looks like they just run track. You need bodybuilders in the SEC that can move like a track star. Not just a bodybuilder. Not just a track star. These boys don’t look like they are running through anybody. I hope they figure this out.

False. Most players will never play football after they graduate and even if they’re drafted it’s usually less than 4 years so building men outside of football is absolutely important and should be a focal point.
