Another great tutorial Jess! I have to admit, all too often, I hear your voice in my head when I’m sewing/reading pattern instructions. But hey, at least it’s a happy, friendly voice. (I don’t mean this in a psycho way, but kind of like how when I’m reading a book, I have a different voice for each character)

I made this bag when the pattern was first released. I LOVE it!! I used a classic black for the exterior and a fun colorful print inside.. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. You always do a phenomenal job on your tutorials 💜

I love the suggestion of the tabs! I will be doing this for all future tabs. I have had extreme difficulty lining up two of the pattern pieces like this. And the suggestion of the decovil to add depth and strength is the best

OMG best crossbody yet!! So adorable and you’re right - excellent pattern and directions. Not a big fan of reading back and forth across the page, but I got used to it. Used a special canvas print for the front and back, cork for the remaining exterior, and water resistant canvas for linings. Love that she puts bag tag placement suggestions at the right times … because I do forget sometimes 🙄. I used one of the adorable straps from Sallie Tomato, so that went so fast. Thanks for this tutorial. I used this bag to break in my new BabyLock Accomplish straight stitch semi-industrial. What a sewing joy ❤

One more note. Thanks for mentioning about the 'magnetic snap rivets'. I didn't know that these things existed. I'd love to try those. I had been using only the magnetic snaps with the 2 prongs that you open behind a metal washer. Wow~ I've learned something new today.

You CAN do it!!! It's actually not as complicated as it might seem. I used to think "I'll never be able to make anything that looks like that!!!" But here I am after making many bags that's still can't believe I made... telling you that you CAN and SHOULD do it!!! You will never know what you can make without trying. 😉 Seriously... just try. If it doesn't work out, well that's experience under your belt and lessons learned as with everything else in life. When it DOES turn out well, you can brag to everyone how you made such an awesome bag. ☺️💗

I know you wrote water resistant canvas as what you use... But every time I click on the link, it brings me to waterproof canvas. I was just wanted to verify that use the resistant one which is thinner than the waterproof canvas itself. The resistant is good for binding and very lightweight. Thank you!!

Just a heads up: at 26:51 you *say* "3/8" seam allowance" but your info text says "1/8". I sewed what I read first and realized it didn't look right. Love your tutorials!! Just thought I'd pass that along

Hi @mouseboots! I love your name. My bags often tend to flip over too, but with the first one of these I made, I found that I’d put “important” items in the zip pockets and my phone in the middle open pocket. I’ve been using this bag for a few weeks and only had my phone fall out ONCE! (I had to slam on my brakes when driving. Everything else in the car went flying, but only my phone fell out of this bag!

I LOVE the look of this, but would love if it were only one big "pocket" with a zippered closure, and not two on the side with zippers and one in the middle without. Does anyone know if one could customise it? 🤔
