There's actually been another SSD like this before and that's the Intel Optane H10 which is a 512 GB QLC SSD combined with 32 GB of Optane SSD on a single M.2 NVME drive. I really like the concept though and wish more consumer drives used setups like this.

They are cool, but the issue is 32 GB of cache is too small, forcing it move data a lot/slowing down when writing large amount of data. The large cache on the FuzeDrive with HDD basically lends you real tiered storage on desktop. And that is a first. Hopefully it will do well.

Optane is great. Their 800p in the 118gb flavour is what I use as my boot drive, with a 1tb 980 pro as the bulk storage and for big games/software etc. They needed to make a H20 with at least 64gb optane and 1-2tb nand.

I remember using Usenet circa 2012 or so and downloading bottleneck was my motherboard chipset. It couldn't handle scooting data from the ethernet port to the hdd fast enough. The whole system just crawled whenever I had my NZB client going.

Ha, that's 100% Linus. He didn't even like her originally, but he can't resist that $$$. Flashing Madison while his audience is hot for her makes sense. He has a lot of people who's livelihoods depend on him, he's not about to leave free money on the table. It's like when the LTT audience got excited about Anthony being a tech guru and the best guy ever. He started showing up in tons of videos. As soon as simply showing Anthony didn't create a surge of audience engagement, he faded back to showing up now and again when it makes sense to have his input. Madison will fade in time (especially since she lacks any skills or knowledge to contribute to the tech side of the channel), but she's that new hotness now.

I got to say that thing looks really intriguing. Thanks to the big cache it's basically an SSD you can upsize with an HDD when used right. And I'm not always switching games, I have phases after which I switch to different games. And this lets me keep these unused games on my cheap mass storage while loading them to quick storage when I use them. This is an awesome game drive if you don't switch games often. Right now I either uninstall games after a phase (losing progress and having to install them again later) when they are on the SSD or have slow load times because they are on my HDD. This would allow fast speeds without uninstalling to make room.

I don't like the idea of having a "wallet" that cannot even fit a single coin. Maybe this is a german thing as we still pay a lot in small cash insteaf of using credit cards for anything. I also usually have at least one euro in my wallet to use with shopping carts because here we have to put a coin in a shopping cart which we get back when we bring the shopping cart back to where we got it. These modern wallets are really just for credit cards of which I don't even have one.

I was recently reading a review about the cooler master sub zero, making use of a peltier plate, to cool the cpu, but inneficiently. I was thinking, if you could use peltier plates to creat a sub zero zone of air between the fans and the radiator, that would be way more efficient use of the technology, and I thought, linustechtips is the only one I would think might give it a try?

I have used a bunch of Seagate FireCuda drives. The SDD cache made them very snappy in Windows, and I've always wanted to see that continued. This sounds like pretty much exactly what I've been looking for.

SLC memory can be written to over 100k times, QLC is in the thousands. It is brilliant that that did something like this. Reminds me of the old days when they had an SSHD where they did something similar with SSD and a Spinning Hard Drive. It was a poor mans 1Tb+ "SSD". My biggest wish is that they make a PCI-e 4 version so we can see those potential speeds you see on something like the 980 Pro

The hardest part of selling this drive has to be requiring this whole video just to explain why anyone would want it. I really like the idea of using it for a media server; the most recent and likely to be accessed TV and Movies would all be in the SSD cache. It would give SSD performance 95% of the time without having to have your whole collection on SSD. Apparently the FuzeDrive software does this with any SSD and HDD so I can do this with what I already have!

I think that is a fantastic solution for home desktop users. Fewer drives to manage, and if the endurance on the SSD is really as good as they suggest, it sounds fantastic!
