There was no standby flight attendant for a flight that I had and everyone got rebooked the next day after the original flight was 2 hours delayed. We got on the flight and then had to turn around after 45 minutes because a flight attendant had a medical emergency. Such a sad and unfortunate situation. Anyway, HUGE appreciation for all the standby workers who stick it out til the end ❤️

At the end of the day they calculate your salary by the minutes. They pay you to be there regardless if there are work or not. Same goes both ways, if my shift ran out I ain't staying for free either 😂

It’s not a waste. After the flight departs, there’s a small chance that it might turn back due to emergency. With the standby crew awaiting, there would be no need to further delay getting the replacement crew. There’s ALWAYS a reason for Everything.
