My carbs daily intake is between 10-20g, natural sugar is less than 5 g. Protein is about 50-60 g, good fats is 90g. I am not even hungry after 24 hrs. My body is in ketones. I am now restricting myself to two meals a day, usually, and it is time restricted. I am now steadily losing weight every day. Following this video, I now know that the time restriction part is probably more important than the amount of food so it will make following the regime even easier even though it means zero snacking outside the time range.

Great video that is presented in a way that is easy to follow and full of excellent advice and information. I think everyone needs to consider each of us are different so there's no set of specific rules that will produce the same exact type of results. For me the general guidelines of eliminating all eating after 6pm and then not having any food until 10am the following day has been very effective in terms of significant weight loss, improved energy and mood and maybe most importantly lowering my blood pressure. Now keep in mind I'm not the same as you so the IF schedule that is working so well for me might not be what will work best for you. I will admit that after always looking forward to getting up in the morning and eating some type of breakfast for my entire life and then switching to not eating anything at all until after 10am every day was very difficult at first. But after the first week to 10 days passed, it became so much easier to stick to my now well established routine. Recommend to give IF a try, you will likely be amazed at the results and the positive changes that occur in your life.

I Appreciated the easy-to-understand charts and graphs. And simply getting the bottom line on the matter. My hope is my husband will be more on board when he sees how simple it can be by just starting out with a specific window of restricted time of eating. He won't feel as deprived. 😅Looking forward to the two of us reaping the health benefits!! Thanks you! PS is there a way I can print copies of the charts?

Very interesting. I am removing meals from my carnivore (mostly) diet. Usually that means no breakfast but sometimes no lunch and increasingly both. My current plani is for a 24 hour fast once a week. Fast Tuesday! A governing factor is that I do not like being hungry and avoid it by eating about 100 grams more meat Monday night. Virtue requires a larger steak! To be honest I don't notice much difference in my life on fast days. There is a feeling that something is different, rather like trying to remember something you forgot, but no discomfort. Weight appears consisten at 103 to 105 kg. I am considering moving towards one meal per day, every day but I will see how thing progress. Cheers!

@silviopina_111 Жыл бұрын
@@bilalhamurabi3362 I think most people would find that if they correctly gave IF a try, they could (1) totally do it (2) it would benefit them tremendously. I used to do 2 days of 24hrs each week and was doing great. Now I'm trying a daily window, work in progress. Normally I do 16-8, but will be switching to 18-6 and possibly go back to the 2 (different) days of 24. Recently I stretched my 16 to 22 and I felt super-great, full of energy and clarity. You DO have to practice getting over the pesky "ghrelin" 👾, the appetite hormone that knocks on your stomach at every "old habitual" meal time to try to convince you you need to eat 😋. That feeling is NOT "real hunger" it is "habitual appetite" the body trying to keep the status quo . Once you pass 16-18 hours, you don't even think about eating, you just feel great and become super-woman/man/person 💪💥 Unfortunately the BIG PROBLEM, is an important message 🎙 that seems to fall through the cracks of educating about Intermittent Fasting. The problem is many people "trying", cause they heard of it, but omitting some very important steps, such as "bookending" your fast with good satiating fats 🥑🍳🥓(essentially a keto meal) AND, most importantly drinking plenty in between AND also very, very importantly, adding a pinch of SALT in their drink (I add lemon or ACV and salt 💦🧂🍋). By not doing that , by - for example - eating a plate of mostly carbs pasta or cereal and then imagining they can fast for hours AND not drinking water and salt, they all end up with a very uncomfortable feeling, possibly a headache throwing in the towel and saying "I tried" or "happy this works for you, it does not work for me" or "this is not for everybody". While the latter is definitely true, it only applies to a very limited/specific group of people, with specific conditions, but actually fasting really works for most people, if done right. Otherwise it wouldn't have been passed on for millennia of generations. Maybe someone should do a a video and call it: "IF works... "IF" done right"... ... or something like that. I am soooo frustrated 😭😭😭with dear friends who are "pre" or just became diabetics, or very overweight and won't give this a good try. But of course I don't nag... I am just quietly sorry and always happy to explain when they are ready to hear. I hope for you that understanding WHAT to eat especially before a fast and what to do in-between, might encourage you to try. Don't try 22 hours from scratch. Start by skipping one meal and slowly restricting your eating window 🕰 . Good luck, human! 🤗💪

I was raised on two meals, 6am and 12:30 pm nothing in between but water No processed foods No sugar No caffeine No fried Low salt No one took drugs or vaccines No refined foods We farmed and were vegetarian and there was an abundance of food Approximately 60 people with more at times and no one was sick, fat, or had dental issues I still eat one or two meals a day and none late. I tried time restricted eating from May 2021 to Dec 2022 without regard to what I ate. I started due to being overweight. My father had type 2 diabetes and I was afraid going the same route. I took a diet break for Christmas 2022 and have been easing back into the intermittent fasting. What I have noticed: I have lost weight and is able to maintain it. My partner saw a lot of changes in me that he, a very stubborn person is also trying time restricted eating himself.

This is the most comprehensive lecture on intermittent fasting, it covers all aspects of the physiology and how the body responses to fasting. I have been on a 18/6 regiment for a year and half with the goal of lowering blood sugar, weight loss is not a concern. In 4 months into the 18/6 blood sugar level is stabilized between 4.9-5.2, my weight dropped from 162 lbs to 150, with a height of 172 cm I feel very comfortable in maintaining my regular exercise program which consist of cycling 50 miles twice a week, rowing machine everyday 20 minutes, high bar hanging for stretching for a few minutes. Also like to add after watching your lecture on the effects of sunlight therapy I started to take advantage of the NIR and UVB from sunlight at noon for 15 minutes, I have never felt better in my life before.

@@heyitsarash no difference since I'm taking medication because I have androgenic alopecia, but that was before I started fasting, but my skin and hair looks great since I started too, rarely I have acne or dandruff on my scalp compared to before. However, if a person don't eat enough calories or vitamins during the eating time, it can develop hairloss and other problems.

Just add keto to your fasting. Your body will clean out the pharma poison so your body can heal itself. I dropped my blood pressure pill in 3 weeks or keto. Had been on BP meds for 10 years before this.

My weight is not decreasing tho for almost 3 months now. Even gaining weight up to 5 lbs! Do you have any insight into why this is happening Dr. or How I can change this? Thank you for you help!!!

Thank you for a wealth of information, doctor. God bless you for sharing. Why didn't our own drug pushing doctors tell us about this years ago? Could this be why we see a lot of big pharma reps visit their office very often with free samples? That might give us a clue as to why they don't tell us these things. Thank you, doctor for your dedication to your profession. You are a true hero.

I found that skipping breakfast is easier, since your body supplies you with a shot of glucose and cortisol (called the Dawn Effect) which helps you through the morning. I wait for 2 or 3 pm and have a very small eating window. I lost 45lbs last year doing low carb OMAD.

Really good advice from this specialist I eat between 12 and 4 O clock and at 75 years of age I regard myself as super fit I still feel fit and strong can run long distances whilst many of my contemporaries of my age are in a pathetic state digesting food requires the body to expend a great deal of energy this requires a great deal of self-control to start with but over time an individual will feel much better with more energy and your hunger will disappear This podcast is actually lifesaving stay vigorous in your old age by eating much less and consume natural products that grow from the Earth after all that's what God intended for us to consume live long and prosper
