So this was the first time reviewing an R53 mini never mind taking one on track, it got a few laps to get used to the car.. but what a machine! Its not the fastest thing ever in a straight line but MY GOD the BRAKES! They are INCREDIBLE!

It was a pleasure to have you on track with us, Lee! 😁👍 A shame some of our faster cars had run out of fuel / suffered breakdowns and called it a day by the time you joined our session. Love that Mini and will most definitely be buying some tickets to try to win it.👌🤞

Like Jeremy clarkson said when he drove the diesel bmw on top gear, he couldn't keep up with the fast cars on the straights but came back on their tail in the corners due to having much better brakes. Handling and stopping power is better than lots of power

Should definately get one. I absolutely loved my R53. Make sure you get a facelift with the factory LSD

Was good to see you buzzing about the r53 , I've had mine for nearly a year and have done a fair bit to it my favourite mods ive done are the bigger injectors combined with the 1320 catcamm and bytronic remap along with other mods I'm dyno at 240hp. Coil covers were a great addition also. I would love to see you do a track mini project thanks for the fun content. Try putting the after sun in the fridge .

my brother just bought a Cooper s they are rapid and the supercharger whine sounds amazing. Me and my dad are looking in to getting top and bottom pully for the Jaguar XFR

As a r53 owner who has had the car now 3 years I don't ever intend to sell mine it's that fun I will keep rebuilding it no matter what happens unless I like totally wreck it then I will get another 🤔😂

Just a tip but whilst track driving your hands should stay on the wheel at the 9o'clock and 3 o'clock position and keep hold of the wheel as you turn. Different style to drifting where you move the wheel around in your hands. Looks a fun car anyway and a good day out👍.

Might want to check it's still got oil in it as they tend to eat a whole lot of oil when pushing them. Same time time this may be ok but still worth a check

I picked up an r53 a couple of months back for £500, new windscreen later and it flew through the mot, one of the best cars I've driven, originally bought it as a flip car but I think it's going to stay now 😂

as a track car it will need bigger injectors for a 17% pulley as it will be close to maxing the injectors out

Yesss get one make a pure track weopon and it doesn't take much to get to 250 bhp in these cars or get a seat leon tfsi and remap it to 250 bhp ;)

With the mods it has could easily get it mapped to like 220/230hp, well if you Decat it as well!! Might Even get more than that, if so it’d be unbeatable.

Pace Edits don’t blame you they’re amazing cars!! Love the R53’s like, love that supercharger whine!! I’ve got the F56 stage 1 tuned to 285hp 440nm and it’s rapid but the R53 are more fun!!

dont de cat it i was down at 1320 mini last week with mine getting charger serviced and 17% pulley, the guys said de cat slows them down they like the back pressure just go for cat back system which is what i did

@@fabiovitagliano5334 bizarre mine was at 250 bhp fine and got walloped for 70000 miles. My other jcw was fine. 1320 mini ran stock engine at 600 bhp. Its probably your tune or lack of lol causing that and no baffled sump

@@joemiller4718 its mapped by rabbid tuning it's got airtec, dobble core rad, kings racing bearings and a baffled sump + loads of other bits
