Yes, I believe there are interesting times ahead and not in a beneficial way. This problem will grow exponentially, especially when the current housing bubble collapses upon itself because of an economic downturn and individuals cannot pay the mortgages on the property they paid premium prices for. Sometimes, it's the kids, or human error. Growing up, my mom left all our doors open unlocked all the time. And we lived on a busy corner. Could never do that there, these days!

Coyotes are careful. A cat scratch can easily cause a bad infection, and coyotes never go to the vet. Even a sore paw can keep them from catching anything to eat.

I have had people come to my house in the middle of the night. My dog alerted me. I was up and ready before they reached my front door. I asked what they wanted and they said they were looking for someone. I told them they don't live here and they left! You never know what these people will try to do so be ready.

I live in Asheville NC and trust and believe we see bears all the time. We have a mama bear and 3 cubs that roam our apartment complex and get into the dumpster all the time. That's why I am terrified of walking my dog. I am sure the mama to that cub wasn't that far away.

I walk my dogs for about 10 minutes most nights late. I lock the door when I leave, even though I'm in visual range of the building. If someone did walk in, my boyfriend won't be very nice, and he'll be armed. I'm also armed when I walk the dogs. I've seen all kinds of weird stuff going on. The neighbors have had walk ins, I've caught people trying our vehicle doors. It gets worse every day.

Our oldest cat is really big, and scary. He chases coyotes away, 3 so far. He also tore up 2 pit bulls that showed up. They are gone now

It's kinda of funny but we keep our outer doot to our front door locked all the time. But it's so our are can't open the door and escape! And while we don't have a doorbell camera, we do have a camera on the Eve's of the house pointing down for security. Which is good because they can't just rip it down!!

Lock the door, close the window. If it's possible it's good to have cam. I have vivint. It is expensive but you can make a payments. Not a bad view. You can call cop, 911 inside from your screen. Or just simply buy cheaper cameras from the store and you hook it and play it. You can do that too.

People for the love of pizza and garlic bread LOCK YOUR DARN DOORS, CARS, AND try to have a neighbor you can trust ,get your packages, please ! Or maybe you can get a high slot on your door, so most packages , could be put in the slot, plus your mail, so they wont get stolen! 🤷‍♀️oh and ps, um lock your gates too, with padlocks if possible, at least then, if someone comes in, it is breaking and entering!
