Just bought my first gold and silver from Atkinson's, 3 Gold Sovereigns for spot price and tube of 25 pre-owned silver 1oz Britannia's with hefty 30% premium. £24 per coin was the best I could find in the UK from reputable sellers. Gotta start at some point, otherwise I'd just be waiting and searching forever without getting my foot in the door.

Great video and information! I guess we are all imagining milk spots on the Britannia's, lol!! I only stack RM metal in gold now, hardly any silver.

Perth mint has been kind to encapsulate even bullion coins (like the kookaburra), which is a nice service. I'm not partial to the new kook with the worm. The lunar gold dragon is stellar, but the silver one usually has two creatures and this time it's... Lacking. The Canadian coins and the ASEs are the only one I keep for personal stack for now on, everything else is just weight.

Great video. I have some tubes of older Maples that I have actually never looked through but I guess I should break them out to check for milk spots. While premiums have been dropping I am a little surprised they had stayed very elevated for such a long time

Sad to say that the Perth Mint is head and shoulders above the Royal Mint in terms of product and quality. It sounds like the RM is full of BS!!!

I have to say that the last 12 month has been awfully slow when it comes to one of my metal businesses worst year ever, maybe time to pivot and adjust. Im loving the Lunar Dragon coin.

Sold my three sets + of the Queen's Beasts for more than 5% below spot. I saved a few of the extra coins that weren't horribly milk spotted. My Britannia tubes are looking good from the past few years.

Yeah I agree with a lot of what you said.. especially the Britannia is being all milks body even after just a few years... it's the whole reason I stopped collecting them I just get key dates at this point.... Anyways, I mainly stack ASE, silver maples & silver Krugerrand... And I'll get one a year from the Mexican mint due to the price.. but leave libertads are hands-down my favorite silver coin and wish I could stack tubes of them.. Lol... or do you have a few tubes of buffaloes laying around which will be the first thing I sell, but starting early 2022 I started buying krugerrands instead of buffalo rounds due to the price being very similar... as for the US Mint the Mexican men and the Canadian Mint, does tend to be my go-to because I live in the United States close to the Canadian border but I do visit down south when I'm close to the Mexican border... and if need be I needed to trade it it's very noticeable to the cultures that I'm going to be close to, if that makes sense lol... but honestly if britannia's start to come out with better products, I would consider stacking a few tubes of those as well... numismatic wise I do have this thing for alien coins or turtles or anything that has to do with Native American Indians... which I keep as a pass down piece I will give my kids and wife.. Anyways, I'm rambling so I'll get out of here thanks for the video

I just ordered 12 1 oz britannias and they already have some milk spotting. They look amazing for the most part and am still very happy with the purchase. Bought on a good day and got a deal from JMbullion. I bought each coin at approximately $24.33 each, worth the small milk spots already and more to come lol

It's been a " tough few years" isn't an economic term . Perth Mint’s pre-tax profit for 2021-22 was AUD 40.28 million from an annual turnover of AUD 21.77 billion. And The Perth Mint’s profit before tax for 2022-23 was $52.67 million from annual turnover of $23.19 billion. Will have to wait for 2023-2024 report. The Royal Mint has announced an operating profit of £17.7 million for the year ending 31st March 2023.

Very informative from the World Coin Fair, BYB. I'm trying to both stack and collect, which may well result in me falling between two stools, but I'm trying. Lol. The Perth Mint is producing wonderful stuff, and Canada have certainly fixed the milk spotting. Royal Mint milk spotting, however, is utterly *******REDACTED*******!!!!🤬

I think folk need to decide whether they are stackers, speculators, dealers, collectors or investors. IMO to profit from precious metals today you need to spread your holdings between the aforementioned categories. And understand what each category actually is.

I think it was about 2011 thatvmilk spots started showing up on maples 🍁 and i avoided buying them even thugh the dealer said that it doesnt hurt the value.

Personally, if buying British coins, I prefer to buy those with QEII rather than her son. Have you any samples of the Lion coin from the 'Czech mint' ? "Royal mint has no data on the quality of their coins ..." If you don't collect data, you won't have any data available.

AG no longer a monetary metal. MIC and SSP need it cheap for the kool toyz, so price suppressed. Very tough for stackerz.

Perth is the best, with RCM as second. The Royal Mint is not nearly as bad as the US Mint. I only buy gold from them, so perhaps that is why. My problem with the US Mint regards insane prices. The entire “woke” influenced coins are another problem (why make coins no one wants to buy???). That said, the Perth Mint just plain rocks. I cannot give them my money fast enough. They also charge fair prices. I do love Royal Mint sovereigns. They are great, and I love the rose color of the modern coins.
