I am from Belgium, and from whole the USA the gar is the most beautiful fish ! they gettig soooosooog big , and there a lot of variations in it. I love gar extreme much, pitty they nog swimming is west europe. You such lucky guys !

Love seeing the biggest non-Anadromous fish in the US. Lake Sturgeon used to get big but are now protected. My friend caught a little one on a Salmon charter trip that hit an egg sac. I think they only got 5-6 feet and 250lbs but that was in the old days. Not a little fish. Muskie get that long but the record is only 72lbs I think. After seeing you wrangling a 50lb gar I can't imagine dealing with a 6ft 70lb Muskie.

I like how gentle you try to be with them. If you're going to release them there's no reason to be rough. I also like that you run heavy equipment. I don't like when these KZfaqrs run the lightest possible equipment, like I understand the fun in it but you break off and now there's more trash, the fish has to live with a hook hopefully for not that long but either way. I've caught pike that had hooks in their sides

Very nice reel but very low line capacity. As far as gar fishing goes, I'd recommend using Max Quattro and using it in close rage situations

@@ClayConnelly21 I only watch four fishing channels on KZfaq, Cavy being my favorite, so the idea of filming with him is more of a fan goal. In general I don't actually like doing collaborations. I've also never watched either of those channels so I'm not particularly interested in trying to film with them.

Alligator gar eat very different than most fish, they don't start to swallow the bait until after a long run.

Almost as fun as snagging season for our Prehistoric Spoonbill here in Mizzurah, they get so huge, you can't land em ,have caught big Gar also ,the lure for em isn't a hook at all, braided hair, or rope type lure, they bite and get teeth tangled up.🦕🦖💪💯💥
