Stuff we use:
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z
EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution - goo.gl/56LnpM

I’ve only started to understand this concept and touch upon it in my monologue exercise, but im understanding even how to drop my tone and question who I am and how I would say it, slow down etc…hey even if the character is not perfect for me, how would “I” say it? repetition has really given me some great progress, because when I memorize the lines I find the it just flows and I find that I can explore my own pauses and emphasis’s if I need it, sometimes even saying it simply or deep down from my heart, but im still only touching the iceberg and it’s exhilarating, as a child of a narcissistic and hysteric family this is giving me a platform to explore who I am emotionally, oh and especially vocally. I think it’s difficult to hear my own voice and have it be heard, thank you for these gems of knowledge, it really helps unlock it just that little bit more! I’m excited to see how much more I can learn 🙏🏻

Speaking from the viewpoint of an audience member, I like when I find myself lost in a film. IOW I want to be (temporarily) fooled by what Im watching. I want to relate something I lived through, to this scripted presentation. I average probably 4 DVD versions of full length movies a week and get the feeling I just explained about 5 times a year. I give the writers and directors credit after I watch a good one. But without realistic and believable acting, they'd have zilch. I liked what the gentleman said about actors having the celebrity life and the REAL life. The real life depictions are what make great movies and what should be important. One more thing; A good way to Guage the quality of a police and or crime drama, s to catch a couple of episodes of "The first 48" or hang out at your local police headquarters. Good channel too

Wait... an HR person as a fallible human being? That self-admission in and of itself would be worthy of a tale akin to Campbell's "Hero's Journey"
