I played Rocket League version 1.0 to see what’s changed over the years. I honestly thought this version of the game was super fun and Rocket League could take notes on what went right the first time.

if anyone didnt know, if you are on the "press any button to continue" screen with the big Rocket League title at the top, you can actually press "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, enter (or whatever the equivalent of enter is on controller)" and it will bring up the original SARPBC title and play the original SARPBC song. its pretty cool and nostalgic if you played the original version. it also used to give you a free moai antenna, but it doesnt anymore.

I swear it didn’t used to! Rocket league used to feel so charming. But I think things like micro transactions and epic buying it kind of ruined it. Because epic is giant soulless company. While psyonix used to be a passionate indie team.

The map in match 1 ist actually utopial colosseum. Its the same map, we are used to, but if you fly out of the new map, you can see a circus. The colosseum. You basically played the real utopia colosseum map concept

The tutorial in rpbc is more advanced because rpbc was a car game with a bunch of minigames, soccar being one of them. This game mode was so popular that it was later developed into the game we now play today, rocket league.

Im pretty sure flip resets became a thing after a update for a extra game mode, they just didn't see what players would eventually learn to do.

@@MrPenguin8374 I think, since its only a flip cancel but on the ground. The flip reset was made by letting a player get there flip indefinitely after falling of a surface without jumping. So players had a idea to get the wheels on the ball and get there flip back, the rest is history.

And RLCS is ruined by - 3 different quals instead of 3 regionals - 1 less lan - Lack of communication between the community & orgs. - NA & EU have 4 spots instead of 5 spots for Majors - Age eligible for pro is 13 instead of 15 - about 4-5 months of off season
