Yeah, it’s kinda weird. There were 10 A1 Terriers preserved but only a single E1 and E4. The ratio baffles me a bit. Z

The E1 was withdrawn in 1927 and sold to a colliery. She lasted until the 60s and is currently being restored on the IWSR

Hands off the poor old "Crab"! An astonishingly reliable mixed traffic engine, I concede that it's no looker, but come on! We're talking about one of the greatest mixed traffic engines OF ALL TIME! (but, to partially prove your point, I prefer 1) L&YR Class 8's (rebuilt), 2)GCR 9Q's and 3)HR Clan Class).

Well here is little fact about the locomotives with 4-2-2 wheel configuration, they wheels slip because of their large drive wheels and they give them low grip on the rails

I like the Hughes Crab. There I said it. And Lode Star and LBSCR E1s. Although my brother would agree with you in the Midland Spinner. He’s a big fan of it.

@@ChargerusPrime 4449 is a very different engine, as it is orange. And the cab forward design is wierd as fuck.

@@HyperCat72 it's different because of the MARS lights, so is NKP 765. We also have multiple streamlined engines such as the Lehigh Valley black diamond 4-6-2s and the new haven I5 class. The cab forwards were the living embodiment of necessity being the mother of invention. Most American classes followed the same basic USRA design ques, hence why most of them looks so similar. Kinda like your GWR.
