In this video, we're taking you on a tour of the town where Necrobutcher lives!
Jørn Stubberud (born 13 April 1968) is a Norwegian musician best known as the bassist in the black metal band Mayhem under the stage name Necrobutcher. He is one of Mayhem's founding members. He is the band's only remaining original member. He has also played in other bands, including L.E.G.O., Kvikksølvguttene, Bloodthorn (guest artist)and Checker Patrol.

I LOVED your Mayhem tour. Did mine in 2003 or 2004. I went to Norway for an exchange with a fine arts school. I litterally "rotto il cazzo" to my host family so long that we started making researches to let me "fullfill my black metal dream". It was not so long time ago but Internet was a little different, so we really put some efforts. We went with the dad's family car to visit the outside of the Henhouse, of course I brought a black rose to Euronymous grave, and we went to visit the new Fantoft Church and Holmenkollen Chapel. I only have some few and VERY BAD pictures taken on camera rolls. But it is still quite an epic subject of talk, "where did you go with school trip? We went for a Mayhem tour, of course!". Thank you for your vids. They brought me such good, old memories, "buried by time and dust".

What was your host family's opinion of you wanting to go visit the sites? It would be amazing if they liked black metal. But even more epic if they didn't like it but drove you around anyways.

@@thomasnguyen77hello Thomas! I am so sorry I have seen your answer so late. My host family (I come from Italy by the way)had a daughter who went in the same school/class as me who was kind of a punkish/grunge girl. She had a boyfriend who was into black metal but not as "extreme"as I was thiking to be at 18 years old 😂. None of them was able to ride a car and we convinced the parents to drive us around. Mom was a social worker and dad a ground assistant at Oslo airport, they were very religious and a very traditional family (they had many other children too and we did those epic trips even with the family bus), but very nice somehow. They were always saying that "it was just a phase" and that it was better to have some adults around while dealing with those subjects. Was not just a phase for me, anyways 😅 Thank you for letting me share the memories and hope you can understand my broken english!

I'm from Birmingham, UK and did a year in Frekhaug just outside Bergen. The Nordic winter is amazing. It was -16*c some days.

@@russellsmith3567 Mh, that is not much colder then here in the mid German hills where I live now...we had -12 or so in winter. However not so much snow like years ago, but still cold...Btw. I am going to Denmark soon perhaps also Sweden 😛Birmingham is it still industrial city ?

I love Mayhem! I've only seen them play once here in New Zealand. However, they are back on the 28th Jan so can't wait! I've been listening to them since I was a teen, and I'm now 38 lol!! Love your videos! You and your girlfriend have an amazing sense of humour. I love it!

Booked a trip to Beyond the gates at august. From there to Ski via Oslo with Bergen rail for couple of days thanks to your educating videos. Ski seems to be nice basecamp for short trips to Langhus and Kolbotn.

It's cool to see this. A few months ago I did my first visit to Norway. On the drive from Gothenburg to Oslo, we passed by these places, but I didn't know their Mayhem connection, so we didn't stop. But we did stop in Kolbotn and Ski, though, of course.

Many years ago me and Necrobutcher went a couple of times to Tusenfryd with our kids..haha. I remember his kid pranked him alot, like dragging the chair away at the restaurant, resulting in Necrobutcher crashing to the floor with drinks and food all over haha. Rlly nice and funny guy xD

Great video and the T-Shirt is awesome. If doctors used to wear masks like that in the past, probably a sudden adrenaline surge helped a few patients with their health. You did the right thing to give NB respect and his space while making this video.

I had a wild night with Necrobutcher, and the rest of Mayhem around 2017 when they toured Japan, (where I live), and I had backstage passes ... ended up going with them to karaoke after helping them buy some rice-beef bowls.. and I filmed Attilla, Teloch, and Necrobutcher singing "Neverending Story"... while Hellhammer stood there akwardly 🤣kzfaq.infocDLGIVV4JGo?feature=share (there is more to the story, but yeah...)
