NCAA D1 Powerschools punching air right now. Transfer portal about to be full of new JSU transfers. The irony of Dee making recruiting departments irrelevant. They are gonna be paying Deestroying multiple millions. I can imagine Deestroying having a bigger influence on NCAA recruiting than anyone can imagine. And its so funny because of what they did to him when he was student athlete. Karma is a bitch

Facts, running down the steps does nothin for you besides injury!!! im enterin m sophmore year and we have metal bleachers and Cleats+Metal dont go well, especially after some rain. My friend slipped and sprained his ankle, and apparently before i got there some dude slipped and fell and had a concusion. All the goos stuff is from runnin up the stair, and letting the players walk down gives them time to catch a breather, especially linemen. and here in the south it can get hot and we start tryouts/practice before school even starts in July so it can get so hot where the school board wont allow us to wear pads it got to 115 one day and they wouldnt let us practice 3 days straiht

It ain't no lsu or Miami or Oklahoma but it's more than that. All that money and shit is great, but having a living legend coaching at js is motivation for a generation or more of some of the most elite talent to be brought in to js. They are choosing a road that is different. They are choosing the possibility of greatness over a promise of come here and get lots of shit and hope you are stand out enough to be position 1 or 2. Learning directly from the mouth of a goat who can relate to these young men on different levels, and get thru to them and speak In a way they respect and understand is a huge opportunity. I'm sure many will go on to play at giant d1 machines and if they do they will have a huge step up over many of the dudes who chose a direct path to d1. It's am experience of a life time for guys like Travis. He can look at highlights and see what coach did on the field and understand coach wants what's best and knows how to get there if I listen and do what he says. It's different when you have a giant staff and let's say an older white coach who's more hard-nosed and doesn't have the same pedigree as prime. It would be a harder sell in that regard. You would be looking more at the team and the guys who got recruited and the campus than anything I'd think. Its great. Good for Travis, hope he's able to hang in there put on a few lbs of muscle and do what he does.

@@Chris-kk6cw I don’t know y u think his competition wd suck when I seriously doubt that you watch Jackson State football games. How do u figure he wd eventually learn from Coach Prime was he gonna go to JSU football camp once he went pro or something? But it was his decision to play for the best and I wonder y u even care where he went to school. Do you care for all JSU players or something

Get off the gas yall act like these pwi's have a monopoly the money will follow the talent. African Americans make up 80 to 85 percent of their teams but less than 10% of student population it won't take much to shift the scale. Pwi's did it to themselves.

I think Coach Prime is building a program and a brand that's past due for these HBCUs. We have seen that it does not matter what school, you can be drafted so this makes it easier and less wear and tear if you are skilled to go to one of these schools. On the flip side I'm intrigued about what this turns into. I see higher draft picks due to less injuries. I also want to see football like March Madness where anyone can get it.
@lanardfletcher1422
@lanardfletcher1422 Жыл бұрын
No you dont. A school like Bama would put up 50 on JSU in the first half.....also small school kids do get drafted but very rarely do they go high. It definitely matters. Nobody views excelling against lesser competition as an advantage.

@@lanardfletcher1422The NIL is going to do two things; It will level the playing field and teach schools a lesson. OSU lost $1mil on Quinn Ewers who is now a Longhorn. Smaller schools will now have a chance. And don't forget the Sun Belt conference came out of nowhere.

@@genxsports8486 yeah but the problem is yeah small schools can cash out on a couple of players each cycle but OSU can fill their entire class with NIL. Its a small sum game.
@lanardfletcher1422
@lanardfletcher1422 Жыл бұрын
@@iseeyouchico I mean I just threw a name out there. Didn't have to be Bama. I just picked them because Deion said he wanted to play Bama (even though they are most talented and best coached team in the country pretty much every year so they would probably score points at will on JSU). But you could put any tier 1 school in Bama's place. 9 times out of 10, Georgia or OSU or Bama or somebody like that would be a 1 seed and JSU would be a 16 seed and it would play out ugly. Maybe on down the line if things start to even out because of NIL and all that, then yeah a tournament would be cool but as of today and probably the next decade or so, it would be a waste of time.

What makes Deion coming to Jackson State so great is that it sheds a big spotlight on the HBC schools and instills a sense of pride for those retired players to definitely consider giving back in a real sense; not for the money, for the motivation and the camaraderie that’ll be instilled, the sense of value and the sense of pride in what we have. Not to mention him being a great role model for all those fatherless homes those sons that’ll be coached by this great man, amen.

Deion is a perfect fit at JSU. An HOFer with swagger is always gonna bring players in. I just hope he can start competing with teams outside of the SWAC. JSU has never really been good against other non-HBCU teams and have an 0-12 playoff record. Maybe he can change that.
