Hi Doc, on your link they say its only compatible with BMW NBT. In your Video you use it on a M5 with CCC. Will this Work on my E92 325i 2006 with CCC? I got no USB Port. Where do I plug die AUX for Audio? Thx mate

Droid uk ( no I don’t work for them ) I got mine and they have it for many models a quick email of model details and vin got me the right one delivered in 2 days would not run a car with out one as dean says Waze is the future but also for acp on the hole Have screen upgrades as well I didn’t bother with my 4 series didn’t want touch screen which is a option

A "seat belt exemption"?! Are you kidding? As a FF/medic for over 10+ years I can unequivocally say seat belts save lives!!! The most horrific crashes I've seen were you would think someone most definitely has died the person has walked away with only minor cuts from glass! On the flip side of that I've seen minor looking accidents that end up having multiple occupants in the vehicle dead (including children) because they weren't restrained! On the plus side its a sure way to thin the hurd of societys shall I say less desirables!

Yes bm doc, Just watched the apple car vid. So you just buy the box and wire it in?? No need to change the screen ? Buying a e60 535d tomorrow and want one.

Glad to see you back on KZfaq, great E60 maintenance advice over the years! I got a wireless version professionally installed on my M5 E60 '07. Wired mode might be the better option, as you suggest; my phone sometimes reconnects to the car even after I've locked up and walked away. Plus, the call quality suffers a little in comparison to the standard BMW bluetooth hands free version. It comes with a single microphone wired near the SOS button. Well worth the expense overall, great investment.

Been back for a while my g 😅 you have a lot to catch up on if your just seeing this. I been back posting for the last week now and now I don’t plan to stop I have a lot to do man. Yeah man you know me I mix it up differently I always got something new and different coming I can’t just do car repairs man, just boring and getting your hands dirty don’t do well amongst the people and the subscribers all the time. So I have to switch it up when needed, but yeah dude you ain’t been the first person to say that. When you post to much people begin to get bored and hate you hence why I took my break man to do my stuff. And now I come back better recieved as I think people got fed up with me posting to much I was doing the same s**t for two years straight but I’m at a point now I don’t even have too now I’m doing this purely for fun, and the loyalty to you lot and those who asked me to come back. But realistcly bro I have everything I wanted now and can still achieve that without KZfaq I got my buisness setup out of KZfaq which is going very very well, I literally only do KZfaq for my collabs and loyalty now that’s literally it and to not send my brain insane out of boredom. as for money, I don’t do this for that trust me many people think I do but I don’t need the money 😂 far from that I have my workshop now where I’m just doing customer cars on a regular and I have ENOUGH returning people now plus I’m working for garages all over the Uk now when I want too doing keys and module repairs for them so I’m well connected now. Luckily I shot most videos weeks ago as I have someone else car on my lift right now as we speak that I need to finish. So yeah man it’s all good with me right now, just hope people appreciate that as others do this for the money and as a job I’m too skilled to do KZfaq as a job I do it to get out the house otherwise my wife will drive me mad 😅 I got like Scotty Kilmer now I think I will end up talking about all my life soon as I age.

Installed one in my F87 also plugged Amazon fire stick into hdmi & usb so I can watch KZfaq and Netflix. Best of both worlds can switch to full iDrive functions and Apple CarPlay no problems.

Hya question u might know in the e90 320d ms port n47 can u take out the old alarm system upgrade it with as top start with immobiliser and texmessage system that alerts u if car compromised would like to know if u can or cannot

can you help me please I tried installing it and my bmw e90 ccc screen is flashing and going blank idk what happened!! it was working when I first plugged it in but I had to rewire it to fit the box and wires behind the ccc unit but I went to unplug t he gps/radio antennas black and blue wires. the screen faded and never came back i dont know what to do ! please help

Great review, I really appreciate! But I do have a question: If you open the Google Maps app, will it show the map in full screen mode? Same goes for the Apple Maps app, is this also available in full screen? I do ask because I own a 2017 F31 330dA xDrive LCI, I bought the option „Apple Car Play“ via BMW ConnectedDrive Store for around 200 bucks and if I open Google Maps for navigation (I only use Google Maps), it will show the map only on two-thirds of the screen, not in full screen. Full screen is available if I pay a coding expert 60 bucks to code the „Full Screen Option“, but I don’t really like to pay a Coding expert 60 bucks (or more in those days) for I assume pushing one button in his Coding tool. Would be amazing if you could answer my „Full Screen“ question, because I‘m right before buying another BMW, this time it‘ll be an E70 X5 M50D from 2012, and for this car I can‘t buy the Apple CarPlay option via ConnectedDrive Store, if I‘m correct. So I would buy this device and hope that I can use the Google Maps app in Full Screen Mode. Again, thanks for the review and very kind regards from Germany 🇩🇪, Philipp 👋

Yeah, using a handheld phone is illegal, but all the touch screen controls on the cars now are just as much a distraction as the phone, so how long will it be until it is illegal to use the touch screens...?

Mehhh, I elected to install a 10’ android 12 touch screen that interacts with the stock head unit. It’s just a plug and play, replaces the screen. I’ve got Apple Car Play, 360 Birdseye camera, DTS audio controls, 4G hotspot, and a myriad of other fun new features - including an app that switches back to iDrive. $350, and an hour to install without splicing a single wire, or damaging the trim.

People do it to keep the factory look the screens on the market look cheap and tacky. I already have one of those in my other E60 which I will be ripping out and reverting to this kind of MMI unit, as I do not like the look of it.
