Loving Nelly's life vlogs!!! And thank goodness, finally a vlogger who actually is aware of the true origin of a boodle fight, a Phil Military practice that only became a mainstream trend in recent years. I've never experienced a boodle fight growing up in the PH. As a kid, we knew how to eat with our hands while food was served separately and not on a table covered in banana leaves. We frequented the beaches, rivers and waterfalls with family at Christmas and summer vacations. I had the best memories of my grandma's resort in La Union. By the time the car stopped, me and my cousins would jump out of the car and already in our swimsuits, we'd run straight in the blue waters. Stayed at the beach till sunset. Our only break was lunch and meryenda, feasting on grilled seafood, pinakbet, seaweed salads, pork igado and fresh ripe mangoes! We didn't care if we were bitten by jellyfish or got so dark. Those were the sweet old days and one day, I'd love to go back to PH, go island hopping, eat ripe mangoes (best in the world) and experience my first boodle fight (but with paper plates please lol!)!!!

Boodle Fight in the PH .. is a Philippine military tradition, where a big pile of food is served in the middle of a long table in a mess hall where hungry soldiers eat with their hands ..this symbolizes brotherhood and equality in the military .. its origins at the start of the american colonial period in the PH ..they called it boodle feast ..
