I saw a video, possibly from Jubilee, years ago. There was one girl having a text conversation with 30 guys. Her boyfriend requirements were so strict, she got 0 dates. However, the dudes in the group text were saying things like "Good luck bros" and "It's been real" when they were eliminated. One guy said to the girl at the end, "You're gonna be single for a while." I think friends were made that day.

Most reasonable women left dating apps long ago because it promotes flings and insane people. I was on there for about 2 weeks when I realized it wasn't worth it. Just go out and meet people in person through hobbies and interests. You'll have far more in common with those people than someone online.

Yep that's my height too, haven't had a date since I turned 20. I'm 25 now lol. At least when I was in highschool they didn't care as much about height because the excuse was "they're still growing." But now when you're an adult your height is final they don't care about anything else. If you're using a dating app or website, it's best to put like " btw I'm 5'7 so if you want someone taller I'm not for you" so they'll at least know what's going on before they waste your time going somewhere irl.

Personally, I wanted my first date to be someone I met on my own terms (and I definitely didn't want to meet her at a bar). If it didn't work out, I was open to using an app. This was seven years ago, and I never had to resort to any of the matchmaking services. I ended up finding and meeting my first girlfriend, now with two kids, and I don't at all regret it. I met her through friends/church groups, and that really helped with finding someone with not only traditional values, but matching interests. Anyways, find you some friends while you look for a mate too, and it'll be worth your while to help find your mate, especially after you get married and have kids and you don't live in a place with nearby family. Trust me, it's a lot harder making friends later. It also helps to look within your church or faith community too if you have one. Those communities, at least fundamentally, have incentives to make sure their people reproduce.

My husband and I signed a contract 12 years ago. I’m never leaving him. I need him, he needs me. We would be lost without each other. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. We depend on each other - and because of that we are more secure, more resilient, and just more ok with the world than we were when we were “independent” and single… even before we were married, the security was much lower than it was once we made that commitment… It’s kinda cool to look back and see how much we have grown. We actually are more attracted to each other now than we were back then - and that’s saying something. It took a lot of work to unlearn all the cynicism the world taught us, but we did it. Find someone that sees the truth - then work together to get to that truth. Marriage is totally worth it when it’s to a person that wants to choose you every day for their rest of their life.

Social media has created a permanent shift in how many women act. Varying degrees of selfishness and entitlement is super common. Unfortunately women no longer have to time to be reasonable as men have adapted and are permanently shifting the way they treat women going forward. It's not great or ideal because we are certainly better together than we are apart. However basic decency and respect must be given to both sides and we are so far from that today.

I’ve been in a relationship for 18 years, but I don’t envy single men right now. Just the other day I listened to a podcast where women were talking about questions they use on first dates to work out what kind of a man they’re with. They’re not prepared to take a chance; they have to know right from the start. Imagine being a man on a date with a woman and constantly having to worry about whether she’s playing amateur detective instead of just letting the date play out and going on feelings. Also, the women on the podcast were never called out or challenged, and the men who knew about it just accepted it without question. If that’s what dating is like these days I’m glad I’m not single.

This has been done several times. The first time I heard about somethong like this years ago before even Tinder, it was something like 100 guys showed up. These women need to be arrested. Public nuisance, mass organization without a permit, breaking contract etc etc erc

Thank you! I feel vindicated and less dense than before I read your comment! I'm british and I thought maybe this is being lost in translation... yes. That's what's happening- I watched it 10 times and it's clear to me now. It's clear that I'm absolutely Ecstatic not to be of "dating" / "hooking up" age AND that I'm also Ecstatic not to be an American specifically of dating/hooking up age.
