Today we discuss AI once again, this time from the perspective of people who do not have technical background. Industrial and technical revolutions so far were unkind to people outside of the industry, but I will discuss why this time AI will be the great equalizer and how all of us can access great opportunities for our futures.

This is one of the best videos on AI I've seen - you've earned my sub. What you're saying is that pretty much technical knowledge has been massively deflated but human creativity will be valued even more so than before.

Solid points, I completely agree. I feel that it is possible to learn general baseline skills for getting LLM's to give you back what you're looking for. But it's nearly impossible to construct complete, well-conceptualized prompts without a solid foundation of domain knowledge. And this is especially the case when it comes to AI-generated code. You have to know enough about programming to be able to tell whether the result is correct, half-correct half-garbage, or complete garbage. Just plugging it in to see if it runs is not enough - you have to be able to evaluate whether or not it's actually solving the problem in the way that it's supposed to, because so often it simply doesn't.

@mutualinduction7236 The fools failed to properly fact-check the results ChatGPT spat out for them. They were lazy and got what they deserved. CHatGPT is a bit like having a very fast intern working for you. It's incredibly fast but like an intern, half the time it doesn't know what it's doing so you have to at least check its work before passing it off as your own.

Sub. Like. Notification Enabled. A clear logic (logical thinking) and problem-solving ability are by far the most important attribute in the world right now. Thank you for this video!

Great points, and very true. This is just stating that ,"currently" it is impossible for an average user to develop a fully fledged software or system the reason being that they would need to know the other underlying principles that are used to develop a fully fledged software. Software development or engineering is not just code, its learning a bunch whole other topics that could be code or not like System design, design patterns or system architecture, its learning about your users and how any decision you make might affect the whole product at the end. Its craft, like art, art is not just paint, oil or chalk, its actually deeper than that, that's why as of today we can't really replace a lot professions. I think Prompt Engineer will be there, maybe the term is just being misused or 'misspelled' or currently hyped terms and misunderstood terms, or currently haven't really cemented it's place, which we would have to learn in future what they are really are along with other technologies like, Web3, Blockchain. But though I actually think for now a prompt engineer should be someone, who works with developers and a lot of other people whilst the product or model is being improved, shou;d also maybe help with the models modellng and development, having advanced knowledge in a certain specific field maybe.

Hey, Paul. Loved your take on the subject! Only after I started thinking about becoming a prompt engineer, I realized that my ability to harness the LLms come from both my domain knowledge as a programmer and communication skills necessary to convey the idea. After all, I need to find a problem that those babies would help me solve... In order to actually cash on it.

Have been thinking the same thing, the interesting part is what happens with the oversupply of and further easing access to programming capability available then. "Engineering" is the systematic "application" (factory worker) of methods and tools to repeatably solve the problem. Creativity and Ingenuity will trump ...

Good thought-provoking content. I don't think much has changed. You either like programming or you don't. It doesn't matter if it's in C++ or English. If you don't like programming you're not going to do it even in English.

Good video. I simply approach Chat AI like explaining what I need, in great detail, to a skilled programmer. The old adage still applies: Garbage in, garbage out.

I apologize for any disappointment, but the binary system remains the foundation of computing-related matters, be it code, algorithms, or anything else. In this system, 0 represents "off" and 1 represents "on," and that's the essence of it. Computers do not comprehend words or numbers in the same way humans do. That's why expertise in prompt engineering is crucial for attaining the desired outcomes in AI. Otherwise, you won't achieve the desired results. Therefore, there is still much studying to be done!

Great videos! I think even software engineers are a lie, anyone who learns a few lines of code calls them self engineer now. less than 10 years ago we use to call them programmers or coders.

Yeah but can someone answer why they are paying paying way much more money to prompt engineers. Meaning companies had money sitting around but they are choosing to give that to a so called engineer with less years experience rather than an actual engineer with much more tech experience. Can some help me understand why in Cali 350k pay for Prompter..

By the late 60's after a year of programming I thought that I got in at a good time -- high-level languages were coming in, and CICS to control online systems in 1969, so within 5 years (I thought) accounting mgrs and other users of IT would write their own programs and bypass the systems development backlog. Ha! The truth has been that users rarely know all the rules that have evolved in their own systems. Another problem is in handling exceptional conditions -- that's often left to the programmer since we no longer have business / systems analysts. However, some users may handle small ad hoc data inquiry apps (read only).
