Seeing these stats has impressed me even more regarding De Jong.. if we get him in the summer.. our midfield will be one of the best in world football in terms of balance and depth.. if we sell Mctominey, that would be the icing on the cake.. Imagine Bruno, Casemiro, De Jong, Eriksen, Fred and Van de Beek.. as our midfield.. plus youngsters like Mainoo and Iqbal developing under them..

Nice analysis but I'd like to clarify something. High Progressive passes don't necessarily have to mean "risk taker". Progressive passes move the ball up the pitch by atleast 10 yards from the top 60% of the pitch... So these could be balls that are played from CDM/CM to fullbacks that are holding on the touchline, which is a very standard pass. Looking at the Long Passes Attempted and Completed per 90 is a better indicator of "risk taking". Look at Eriksen in the last 365 days - he has 12 attempted per 90 (top 5% of all Midfielders) and ~7 completed per 90 (top 12% of all Midfielders). He completes only 55% of his attempts because he's trying the harder passes that are more dangerous to the opposition! Keep up the great work! ❤️

The problem is Eriksen has 9 assist and 7 of them being in the premier League second only to KDB. Plus will he adopt the Premier League and ETH style of play. His stats at Bayern Munich is favourable to him because he played less games. Eriksen was clearly getting tired because he starts nearly every game. some of our fans really think Sabitzar is a upgrade to Eriksen so we will see.
