It would be a little different if English people would actually visit Toledo, Madrid, Seville, Santiago de Compostela, Asturias, etc. and at least pretend to be interested in Spanish history and culture but instead, they just go to the tourist traps to get drunk and show nothing but contempt for the local people. That’s why they are fed up with it.

But tell your guy there that tourism its only 12.7% of spanish economy, and 90 million of people visit Spain every year who 17 million are british, a lot of these businesses in Spain that you put money in are own by brits whi dont want to return to UK.
