I've got a buddy that would've been swimming after it..... He catches some big flatties and I've seen him dive in after fish that have popped off at the bank. He's crazy lol

I do a bit of carp fishing when the other species slow down and took one of my friends out who usually targets bass & crappie. I warned him, especially since he was using crawdads, do NOT leave your line out and not have your rod in the rod holder, there's 20lb rust buckets in the lake and they don't hit like other species, your pole will be donated to the lake. He didn't listen, left it on a picnic table, walked away, and sure enough, that pole looked like Kerri Strug at the Olympics doing back flips off the table and into the lake.

had similar happen to me 2 weeks ago, personal best blue cat.......I had walked a few too many feet away....and the drag was too tight, popped right out of the holder on the bank....jumped in and grabbed just as it was headin out.....fun video!!!!

Lololol..I seen that a lot..One on my friend telling me that he going to use a tree limb to hold his pole...I told him that it's some big catfish in this private pond...When he put the pole down and turned his back to go get a tree limb..Pole took off like a rocket..I laughed all day that day..lolol Great video!!!!

Was sitting on the bank of a pond with my line cast out. Fell asleep on the bank, woke up, and there was a big copper head snake between my legs. I had a bobber on my line, so I reeled it in. As I was reeling he turned to face it. When I got to bank, he got ready for a strike, I popped the bobber up onto bank where the Snake was, and it slithered off.

That was a striper took that rod, seen probably a half dozen snatched off the beach, mostly out of cheap PVC Sand spikes . Saw one take a small igloo cube cooler with a rod holder attached.

I lost a $250 rig last year out of my boat as I was baiting another, couldn't find it that day but the next was my last day of my trip,as I was pulling my anchor up I noticed line on it,I pulled it up,the rod cam first but when I reeled it in I had a 12lb blue on the other end!
