Yes there is Chalbi Desert. During the rainy season (which hardly happens), it turns into a seasonal desert lake.

Am glad to see you exporing the northern Kenya i have worked there (all of Marsabit country )for 7years i still have a friends those areas , this vlog is soo authentic🌍. there was a time i was deployed national exam duties(kcpe) in Elmolo primary school , i have seen you just visited the island(elmolo village) thank you for making my memories flash back at this area . its really uneplored Gem in kenya real African authenticity🤩 next time tell chalbi expedition to take you to DUKANA, SABAREI, BULUK, SIBILOI, ILLERET. watching you from Peoples republic of China, am real Kenyan🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Cheers and a Big Big up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Things have changed a lot since I was there in 1989-90. The Catholic mission in North Horr didn't have a swimming pool.

Good contents.However as someone from the area, visitors miss alot when they stick to the "roads/itinerary" planned by the tour operators (coz of tight schedule). There is alot to see when you take a detour.
