@@ninja3687 the earth is billions of years old, you've been on this planet for less than a blink of an eye on a planetary scale. climate change isn't something that happens in a blink of an eye, it's a slow process. That doesn't mean that it isn't happening or that it isn't a huge deal. that's the point. we are pushing it off because it's not going to matter "in our lifetime". it's not about us, it's about those that come after us.

@@ninja3687 climate change isn't only affecting us but animals around us, how many animals have gone extinct since the 60's... 'nothing has happened' is not true, it's impacting several people's health, the pollution, ability to grow food (which are necessities) and so much more. Because of increasing climate change, I've been dealing with 40 degrees celsius weather for 2 weeks, which is record breaking...

Finneas, said the song's lyrics are about climate change, God, and the Devil, as well as "the idea that humans have made such a mess of the planet at this point that they're both talking to each other like, 'What's going on? Why did they do all of this?'" Elaborating on this in an interview with MTV, Finneas said he and Eilish thought it would be fun to write a song from the perspective of the devil or god, who would be looking down at humans and be disappointed in them for destroying the Earth. He continued, saying them looking down is a consequence to humans for their actions. Eilish told Howard Stern during an interview on The Howard Stern Show that the chorus to "All the Good Girls Go to Hell" was written in 2016, while the rest was written and recorded in 2018.

I'm 70. Been into Billie (and Finneas) from the start. Have seen her live 3 times, each of which was amazing. Dig back into her early stuff and live performances. Anything from the Don't Smile At Me EP. Her early covers like Michael Jackson's Bad and End of the World from BBC Radio One Piano Sessions. Her brother, Finneas, actually wrote Ocean Eyes for a band he was in (The Slightlys) then asked Billie to record a version for her dance teacher. They uploaded it to SoundCloud when she was 14 and... BOOM!

53 I heard Ocean Eyes and was gobsmacked. I had teenage daughters at the time and both were like...hmmmm. And then they were converted. I told them this is the birth of an artist who is going to change things. Period. Then she dropped Don't Smile at Me..and I was never happier to be right. Bellyache is amazing. This was when I learned about Finneas and began to understand he's just as integral to Billie as Billie is. They are an unstoppable team.

So a little insight on ocean eyes: before she started music she was in a dance class and was tasked with creating her own choreography to a song of her choosing. she went to finneas and he gave her ocean eyes, which was originally written for his band but he thought she would sing it better. She used it in the class where her teacher praised her for the song and said she should put it on SoundCloud. Song basically sky rocketed her career overnight

I wanna say we paid somewhere between $250-$300 for 2 tickets, we originally had tickets pre-covid and our show got "postponed" 10 days before it was suppose to happen! I held onto our tickets as long as I could but the show was finally canceled since no one knew when the world would open back up. When she announced her tour post-covid we had like a pre-pre-sale for tickets since we were in the group of people that wanted to hold onto our tickets. We also had really good seats for the 2nd show. The pricing was similar for both shows if I remember correctly. We traveled for the first show so we had hotel/train fees. The second show she was in our home town so it was a cheaper experience. The next time she tours I HIGHLY recommend seeing her if you can. Even the seats further back would be an amazing time honestly. She puts on an amazing show and really sets up her productions to make sure everyone in those venues/arenas have a breathtaking time. @@aimeewank7859

No Billie didn’t write ocean eyes when she was 13. She SANG ocean eyes when she 13. Finneas wrote it for his band at the time and asked her to try and sing it because it would fit her voice better. Additionally, her dance teacher who knew she liked music asked her if she wanted to maybe create a song for them to dance to in class. Finneas didn’t “polish it over time”, he wrote it and produced it; and then they uploaded it onto soundcloud in order to send it to that dance teacher, not as a release or anything like that. It coincidentally went viral, and the version you heard is that version, they didn’t change it over time. From then on they decided to make more music together, meaning Billie and Finneas write the lyrics, the music, and produce together. The creation of music video was a birthday present from her family for her 14th birthday, so she’s 14 in the video. Later on they also created a dance video, presumably with her class. Obligatory mention here that they were both homeschooled and dance class refers to courses she took not to school.

I was saying how it was talking about global warming and she is representing Lucifer falling from heaven. In the beginning, the wings covered in oil are pollution in the seas and oceans and all that. It's got such a deeper meaning behind it than what it looks like it does. I watched the making of the video. I have heard Billie explain it a million times so no that wasn't a threat. That was just the lyrics to the song. It doesn't have a demonic meaning at all. What she saying is is that it doesn't matter how much we take care of our planet. It's still going to end up burning

When this album came out Billie made a real big deal about listening to the songs in the correct order. And there's a theory that the album is supposed to be all the stages of dreaming. Like bad guy is sorta just fun but then it turns into a bit of a nightmare with bury a friend and so on. The last song of the album (Goodbye) literally reminds the whole list of songs back the start. Sort of of like when you first wake up and are trying to piece the dreams you had back together. Idk if this theory was ever confirmed by her but if you do listen to the whole album... it's a pretty solid idea! Totally recommend doing it. On another note I'd like to suggest for a reaction a song by an argentinian band called Rata Blanca. The song is from the 80s and its called La Leyenda del Hada y el Mago ( the legend of the fairy and the wizard) its metal, its medieval and its got one of the best guitar solos you'll ever experience and I think you 2 would really enjoy it!

It's about how humans would rather destroy themselves with fear by believing a 'story' of damnation, than take responsibility for their actions. I mean, according the 'stories' the entire universe was created just for us, right? Besides, you can't have a society with people who don't all play the same game.
