It’s a shame they don’t make games like this anymore

I remember playing the coop one night with a random and we played right to the end when you got to fight each other, the guy was waiting for me on his side while I crawled below and snuck up behind him, we grew this kind of unspoken bond and friendship going through the missions so it was weird killing him, good times though.

This series needs a comeback.

The movement in this game was phenomenal. If they ever make a John Wick game, they should implement this kind of movement and action.

I remember playing this game nonstop. It didn’t matter if it was the same levels, I still played them.

I know that other people might not agree, but this is, by far, my favorite of all the Splinter Cell series. Also, the executions in this video are way better than anything I've done when I played it. Clean af.

I remember when this game was hated and said that it was the worst Ubisoft game. Now these people are ready to take back their words.

This game made me love stealth so much

I remember the marketing for this was basically Sam Fisher unleashed. No rules or protocol to hold him back anymore, and immediately in that first mission you get to no diff all of them lol

Though Conviction departed from the typical Splinter Cell formula it was very good and fun to play. The change in gameplay made sense given the story and we finally got to see what Sam is fully capable of when he's not holding back.

Blacklist goes even further with all this style of killing in motion, I think John Wick 1 was heavily inspired or influence by these games as both Conviction and Blacklist were released earlier than JW1 movie

As much as i love the older Splinter Cell games, Conviction & Blacklist are my ultimate favorites. Especially blacklist. The karambit kills & the option to be non lethal or lethal was so dope.

I curse you for making me think there was an actual john wick game. but i also praise you for bringing attention back to this amazing masterpiece.

With how well game adaptations have been.. I'd love an equalizer or John wick game today if we can't get another splinter cell

My favourite Splinter Call game by far. It was more a "24 hour" game than a John Wick and it was AWESOME.

Remember people hating it, when I finally got it I never understood why. It wasnt your typical SC game, but a welcome change of scenery and pace - imo. Also, Michael's voice is unmatched.

i put 80 or so hours into this on coop and singleplayer cause it was the fun kind of stealth where you can clear a path (or even full stealth certain segment's if you try hard enough) i just hope blacklist gets a sequel with Michael Ironside voicing Sam again someday.

Calling Splinter Cell a "John Wick" game is kind of insulting to a beautiful franchise

Blacklist, the sequel had 3 playstyles: Ghost: all stealth, kos only Panther: all lethal but silent Assault: loud and proud, lethal Panther was my favorite. That game was the reason I bought a karambit blade.

My god I loved this game, and how the coop was a completely different game was so insane. My friend and I played it multiple times. Blacklist was good too, but conviction was my favorite along with chaos theory.

This one mission gives me more nostalgia than possibly any other part of a video game aside from maybe Halo Reach custom maps. The fuicking golden era man.

I remember playing this obsessively at my cousin's house, especially on co-op, just because of how creative and cinematic the game was. I was genuinely surprised when critics and splinter-cell "fans" hated on this game for being too cinematic and confrontational; they wanted emphasis on stealth and sneaking that was known in the older Splinter Cell titles. But when you consider that it was one of the few stealth games of its time that put emphasis on combat, it just clicked that it was a welcome break from the monotony of stealth; that Conviction turned Sam Fisher into something much more powerful than a shadow in the night. Then again, I wasn't playing Resident Evil 6 nor the PS Vita Metal Gear Solid games, so I likely wasn't as inoculated with the generic shooter games at the time as others were.

Back when having a straight male protagonists in a game was not a crime. Good times.

It's incredible how he walks in front of people, jumps on them, shoots near them and no one sees or hears a sh*t. Stealth games: where enemies are deaf and visually impaired...

Wdf! Fisher has been longer in the business than John Wick, not the other way around. So respect Fisher 'cause he is John wick's father.

Honorable mention, the voice acting and dialogue of the enemy NPCs are spot on. Not only do they sound somewhat realistic and somewhat intimidating, but in the context of gameplay , they excitingly present actionable info.

Splinter cell was and is still a badass game. Realism aside, play for the action. Some of the feats in the game are just plain ridiculous when it comes to how much noise is made or sliding into cover while being in plain sight, but killing all enemies afterwards is always satisfying.

I remember when Ubisoft first showcased this game. You looked like a homeless with a backpack, and they completely dumped that idea. No wonder this game was very short, but i really enjoyed it.

I recall this game back in the day my cousin had put me on this played all day long, sad i had to leave that day i didn't have a console yet but i had a PC did evrythng to get Splinter cell even sold my pride to ask from this dude i didnt like got his usb drive and never looked back 😂, this splinter Cell made me love stealth games i was so into it surreal moments aww good times, and I've waited for people to talk bout this game for so long my favorite level was at the army base least i think its an army base that was super fun Tom Clancy is a classic 🎮🎯💥

I think Ubisoft nailed the art design with this one. I love how the screen turns black and white when in the dark and turns into natural colors when out of it. Cool idea.
