The lore brought forth in this episode is deep. Everything in Brunkhollow keeps getting deeper. Plots getting thicker. Relationships with the strain of a crossbow wire... IT'S ALL SOO GOOOD!

So that’s all the elder elementals except the Elder Tempest, but there were four genies. There was a lot of wind that avoided the statue, so that definitely makes it sound like there might’ve been some air elemental shenanigans

Representative of Biblical beasts of land air and sea and classical Western elements for the summoners is the base reading to my mind, even if genies / Djinn are more Middle / Far Eastern. There are a lot of parallels and pastiches of religious dogma and apocryphal lore in the BH setting. It may just be my interpretation as religions / folklore are one of my preferred areas of study 🤷

Whenever you can look back and say “ yeah, we could cut that entire first hour and lose nothing” you know you have fallen into some narcissistic self adoration. Please get on with telling a story. This is three episodes in a row with huge swaths of empty time stollen from the audience. Either you are telling a story or not. Decide which.

And you make the rules for DnD now? This is ultimately their game, they can make whatever decisions serve them best, and playing NPC's is fun. Matt created Brunkhollow double pass, they should get to play it. It's insanely ironic to say they've fallen into self adoration and narcissism when you're doing this. You have zero self awareness. You can critique without being an ass if you didn't know.

Or you could just, you know, crazy idea, not watch it? There’s plenty of dnd shows that are boring combat 24/7. I didn’t realise someone who isn’t involved in the dnd game whatsoever can make decisions for other people.. crazy that.
