that suggestion to make wither have to be healed before you can heal your actual healthbar sounds like a pretty strong rework, I'd be on board

They should make it that health packs don't get rid of wither to make it any type of viable

2:48 make it so the % of wither you have reduces the healing by that amount, lets say you have 20% wither, you now have 20% less healing. i think it should also apply more wither than it does now so 20% pre buff would be 60% after. idk just a thought

I think when it comes to knocking players to remove the wither effect, I think it should only apply when they knock the player who placed wither on them not their allys.

I think Wither effect would work if fights didnt last for 5 hits and instead were more prolonged. If it was old meta with healing and tankiness it could work but in over current SH, 1 bar m1s meta Wither just.. exists, but does nothing.

I think something simple yet impactful like a 1% increase to damage per % of wither you inflict on someone that caps at 20% could be beneficial. For that to work the wither status needs to have more of an effect earlier in a fight. So increasing the % of damage per m1 that's withered to something like 75% perhaps

maybe like... a mantra that applies wither instead of dealing damage? or a talent converting all damage to wither but reducing it by some amount

being forced to heal that wither back is prob the most ideal scenario, that way it doesnt kill bossraiding / reaper, just slightly evades it, and it would be useful fighting someone w flame wisp/ other regen sources

i think its used for the bosses that drops this weapon, to avoid you cheesing it by trying to regen somewhere the boss cant hit you

I feel like wither will be more prevalent when life weave comes out. Like the alternate path that they might add as rot weave

I think it should work like Bond of Life in genshin impact. let me explain how does it work: When you have bond of life applied on you, you wouldn't be able to heal anymore. Instead the heal would "cure" the amount bond of life you have and only after it is fully cleared be able to heal you. That would be more a anti heal than a health cap, but i don't think a statut that reduce your max hp would be usefull anyway. unless you make it that the statut only disapear when you are out of combat or when you beat the person that gave you the statut.

I think they should make it so wither isnt removed via campfires and if you get a weapon that deals a ton of wither you can make big ganks where people often run off to heal or swap out much better

Wither could just be straight up reworked and make it so whenever you wither someone, your next attack does more damage by how much you wither them for, but if it runs out it gets a cooldown, like 50 seconds.

Just make it not go away when you knock someone. Nobody will heal themselves that much that it will reach the withered health, this will realistically only work on people getting healthpacks.

I think the wither effect should just chip away at your hp but at a reduced scaling similiar to something like the burn status. The max amount of wither you can apply onto one person at a time should be around 20-30% and the dmg is at a rate of around maybe 0.5 dmg per second and you apply wither at around 5-7%. Everytime you m1 the opponent that is applying the wither effect to you it should reduce a certain amount of the wither you currently have at maybe around 5-7% of the wither and the longer you have the wither effect on you the faster the dmg per second gets until the wither effect either runs out or you manage to m1 enough to remove whatever is left of the wither. Once you reach around 20-30% of ur hp the wither effect then instead should begin reducing the amount of healing you gain back from all healing sources by 30-50% but does not effect health packs.

make it so when you knock people you dont get rid of wither. NOW wither is useful in ganks

They should have just changed the Order from current health, lost health and then Wither to current health, Wither and then missing health, making it an actual threat as it keeps you from healing in general and could potentially be even more damage added to your attacks.

The status would've honestly been broken pre grand support change, as they cut down on a lot of 'solo healing' methods or just healing in general. They already nerfed healing methods enough so this status just.. doesn't fit.

this status effect litearlly just got added and has 2 (VERY obscure) ways to apply it, give it time this shit will be broken in a few weeks time

maybe have it reduce healing received by the % amount of wither? Like if you had 20% wither you'd heal 20% less hp from healthpacks, bloodless, etc

I'd put it on the other side of the health bar but make apply it smaller amounts and healing it much quicker

what if they made it so wither follows your remaining hp, so if you get hit by wither at 55% hp and you get down to 50%, you cant heal back 5%

they should make emperor flame not have wither but instead black flames from shadow + flame path apply wither instead of flame damage and i guess if you have emperor flame ontop of black flames it keeps its original use

Wither should only get removed through campfires. It should be a semi permanent status effect (kinda like a curse) until you actually REST at a campfire. Then it'll slowly go away. It'll make being withered way more intense.

Just make it work the same way except Wither would instead be HP you NEED to heal before you're able to really heal your ACTUAL Health, so if you have 5% Wither, you'd have to heal that off first before any of your healing can actually regenerate your Health back up Makes it, you know, ACTUALLY have a purpose

Wither is a sad case of what i call one-reason-railroad. things normally in this list are seen as useless in most situations except for 1-2 things. Wither in this case would only be good for guild wars. Reason being that to remove wither you need to be at a campfire, out of combat or getting a health pack. Most guilds have support slots meaning their heals are useless and they are downgraded to buff people. you could give somebody alot of wither, probably give them a resurrection and still be a 1 hit man. But thats really it. what else is wither good for.

Make it so getting a hp pack does nothing to the wither but gripping the person who proced the wither removes it this may be a bit busted but hear me out in 1v1s this is fair and doesnt effect you because the wither wont bother you if you win against it but in big ganks you have to be more careful against people with wither, but this effect wont matter to you if you have reaper and are able to regenerate that hp back

make the dmg taken from m1ns put wither with the deep spindle and the emperor flame that is the only way you can make it better and healt packs dont get rid of it

this is basically only good vs command: live & command: sacrifice i dont see any other use for it really but at the same time i dont want this to be a requirement for ganking builds since i dont like playing against status effects(burn already makes me wanna quit the game)

Straight up just increase how much wither is applied by all sources, 20% of your m1 damage is insanely low it should be AT LEAST 50%.

wither would have been good pre nerf bloodless my tornado healed me for 25% per player stuck in it i was able to fight full servers because u would always catch at least 1 or 2 people and heal back to full took 10 people 1 hour of respawning and campfire swapping to kill me lol

I dont know much about deepwoken, but it would be cool to change it to a DoT like damaging the enemy player or making it something like a drawback, someone who have the wither status effect, everytime they use a skill could damage them. (just my opinion tho, I dont really know much) Day 13 of waiting for sale

Honestly I don't want Wither to be good, there genuinely isn't enough healing in Deepwoken anymore for wither to even be sensible to add. And the builds that do really try to focus all on constantly regenning health usually sacrifice either damage or their HP bar to do so. It's the inconvenience status effect.
