No copyright claims on his battle songs was just for the first month after the battle - Kendrick did that. The labels weren’t too excited but diss tracks usually don’t do that well on the charts, so they said ok. But then they saw the numbers his songs were doing in sells & streams - so they stopped it. Too much money they were losing. Many youtubers said they did lots of money this month with those videos.
