88 got read like a book, which is really saying something. I think he knew that Scorpion wouldnt play against Deoxys, so he tried to pick different characters hoping to abuse lack of matchup knowledge. It almost worked for Alien, but deo read him like a book again.

Bro, deo and ninja just went at it. Safe to say that Deo is definitely reached a new level with kitana.

A wonderful example of the difference between "very strong player" and " Top player". The difference lies in adaptation skills. The moment Deo downloaded what is he going up against, that character stopped working. You can do all the fancy combos, and have mastered high execution links in the lab, but one thing you cant learn in the lab is the ability to adapt. The Pred player did really well, regardless of the outcome, that is something, that cannot be taken away. Though at the score of 3:3, it was already there. They could play FT20, and the other player could switch characters every 2-3 games, but without being able to adapt, the character will do only as much as it can.

Both 88 & deo are definitely top 10 mkx players imo the defensive and offensive skills, calculated risks + being able to play different playstyles with different characters is just impressive 👏🤷‍♂️
