I just ordered this knife last night, oddly enough I work construction lol. But I didn’t order it for the cruwear steel, in fact I never even knew that was a thing. I ordered it for the looks of the knife. So it’s good to know that the steel they chose for the knife is worth getting

Finally got my hands on mine after a pretty long delay. After the first couple of weeks impressions are largely all positive. It certainly doesn’t sacrifice any of the tankiness of its bigger brother, which is its greatest attribute IMO. I like Cruwear very much and own a few Spydies in the steel. In my use I find that as far as edge retention it falls somewhere just below S30V, but where it shines is that it is much tougher than S30 and sharpens and strops back so beautifully making it perfect for this knife. If you’re like me and work outside in a climate like the east Texas sun and humidity I work in definitely do yourself a favor and get some EDCi to protect the pivot and blade edge because sweat that accumulates on it from riding in my pocket in that weather 8 hours a day causes rust spots to bloom on uncoated portions of the knife pretty quickly. Overall I’d say this is probably the best new production release of the year.

I love my Benchmade mini Adamus. I got one in the same color way as the video and it’s my first Benchmade definitely feels like a sturdy knife and I carry it every day since I got it about two months ago.

Also have this knife and they are some hot spots if your don’t wear gloves and have to use it for a long time, and having to squeeze down in it!

It's hard to justify the price on the Adamas because you can get the cold steel recon 1 for $120. And the recon 1 has stainless s35vn steel and the tri-ad lock, which can last multiple lifetimes and take way more abuse.

What’re your thoughts on Kershaw. I’ve carried them for about 6 years and they’ve never let me down. Great knife for the price IMO

Hi Brandon nice video, I have a question about cru-ware blade. Do I have to oil it ( I used Tufglide oil now) but Tufglide is not food grade, or just put reg knife oil but dry very long about a week. Or I don't have to give any oil at all? I live in Indonesia and very humid here, and in here nobody sell blue lube from BM, kindly advice me, thank you

It is not a tank, infact far from it. The D2 versions are better than Cru wear version becoz of smaller and weaker axis lock metals set up to save up on weight. Check out other videos where the lock gives way while using to split wood and d blade groves just disassociates from the lock.
