The part when the civilians break through the barrier to lift the truck off Buck brings me to tears every goddam time. It’s quite possibly my favorite moment of the whole series

Honestly! I cried watching it, I cried editing it and then I cried watching my edit back to make sure it was okay hahahaha

You're not alone in that. Oliver did an interview and he said that he actually can't watch that episode without crying. They showed him the clip during the interview, and he got emotional/teary-eyed. The interview is here on YT.

ive seen this show 3 times but every time the civilians break through to help Buck, i cant help but cry. oliver has talked about it too, he can barely watch it without tears. that scene holds a special place in my heart

Let's go season 3!! I love the wedding scene, Bobby and Athena are such a power couple and it's fun to see the show dedicate so much screen time to two older characters on their second marriage and show it with so much fondness. The scene with the truck had me in tears the first time too, I'm always weak for moments where the city is able to give back to first responders or shows civilians going out of their way to do the right thing. (Also a big fan of the cops in the scene being like 'we're supposed to secure the scene and keep people back but hell no, let's help this kid'. So funny) The truck really is a huge catalyst for Buck's character arc and I'm psyched to get to watch you go through the next season.

Loved this reaction! I usually love cliffhanger finales, but there's something wholesome/comforting about the relatively happy/hopeful finales in 911. As you said, this show is either traumatic or heartwarming! I'm glad you'll also be reacting to 911 Lone Star - hopefully it's enjoyable for you. I think watching it based on airing order is a good plan.

I *think* that Athena might be too old to have any more children, if I'm not mistaken, based on dialogue in previous episodes about her biological clock running out being the reason she started a family with Michael in the first place.
